Today Midway released the first screens of the upcoming street-ball title, NBA Ballers: Chosen One. Where is EA Sport's NBA Street you ask? Well, for the last few years the NBA has restricted Midway and EA to release their respective street ball franchises every other year. So, NBA Ballers hits in '08 and in 2009 EA will release another itteration of NBA Street. We don't want to go on an opinion tirade but this system is the way every sports league should promote their brand (*cough* Sup, NFL *cough*). Oh and by the way, NBA Ballers: Chosen One also looks pretty nice too.

Yeah if the NFL cared about their fans at all they would set up a system like this so 2K Games and EA could take a shot at an NFL game every other year and actually compete with each other, which would make both products better. Not that I really care about football that much, it's the principal of the thing and I hate a monopoly.

I never had realized that NBA did this... one year EA the next Midway... if only the NFL did this with EA and Take2... then there'd be some competition and innovation, big time!!
