Creating a game with XNA might be a great fit for the mathematically inclined but for those of us that know the closest we'd like to get to Pi is an eating contest, Capcom has a solution in the form of a contest. Gamers worldwide and over the age of 18 are being invited to design a challenge level for the upcoming XBLA, PSN and PC release of the NES remake, Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Leave your programing skills at the door, Capcom wants all submissions in the form of an image and the top prize will get both the level inserted into the game as well as your name added to the credits.
Multiple entries are allowed and will be accepted until 11:59 Pacific standard time on March 12, 2008. We'll also throw in a shiny nickel for anyone who designs their winning entry as an homage to X3F. Hit the read link for complete deets on the competition.

Wow, with EVERY LAST CROSS PLATFORM GAME, looking clearer, sharper and brighter on the xbox (including COD4 and DMC4) I am beginning to understand your insecurity.
I applaud the developers for the superhuman efforts they have made in an attempt to make the games look exactly alike, however they just can't seem to cross that last 5% gap, caused by the inferior shader on the PS3.
Then, we get to this years releases, and even though the xbox is more than a year older than the PS3, exclusive title developers are continuing to extract more performance out of the xbox, while looking at the upcoming releases for the PS3, they don't seem to be able to cross that threshold where any ps3 game looks significantly better (or even as nice as) any XBox exclusive title.
It is a shame that in general the cross platform games this generation will be held to the PS3's LCD status.
But other wise yeah, It looks like Bionic Commando will look nicer on the PS3, I guess I have to concede the point.

insecurity?
erm, don't think so.
it's because of the limit size of xbla. i didn't say anything about PS3 performance or 360 performance. that, sir, is your insecurity on fire. put it out.
and for the record, as much as I enjoy CoD4 and DMC4 for my 360, COD4 and DMC4 were built to look better on the PS3.

The challenge rooms are so basic in appearance that at least XBLA players won't be screwed over there too lol.
This is a great idea. I might give it a try. I'm always kind of apprehensive when the only prize is to have your name in the credits, though. You'd think they'd at least give you a copy of the download and the retail game too.

Sounds cool, but it would be even cooler if they included a map maker in the game instead! :D
