Someone must have informed Touchstone today that their
Turok demo still hadn't been released to the North American XBLM even though it has been readily available to other Live regions
two weeks ago. We say this, because magically today said
Turok demo became available to United States, Canada and Mexico Xbox Live members. We're guessing that the two week delay was due to North America's generally negative cultural view on killing dinosaurs without reasonable cause. Oh well. Download the 1.17GB demo if you want and take out some anger by killing a few dinosaurs ... but only the ones that can be justified. Otherwise, it just wouldn't be right.

Yeah, as if anyone cares, this is exactly what happened. OXM gets these timed "exclusive" demos that last a month's span.
The time must be up.

I don't think he is an idiot. I have Japanese and European silver accounts for just this purpose.

OXM released on the 15th with an EXCLUSIVE demo of Turok on their disc. So, to get the demo in the US prior, you had to go out and buy the magazine (if you aren't a subscriber).

Didn't Turok use to be a native American?

Back with the Son of Stone was just a comic book he was a Native American. I believe in the N64 title he was as well. This one however, not so much. Not sure what race he is.

Not missing much, really. It's been available on the PSN since last week. Ok game but just another generic 2-person shooter IMO.

I thought the demo was poorly done. If it's the same demo as in OXM then you spend the first part wandering around a dark cave which gives no sense for how great the game looks when you finally get outside. Not to mention the claustrophobic game play you get in the cave.

Yeah, this surprised me a bit ago when I went to download the demo and only found it on the PSN.
It's not very often (ever?) that you get a PSN-exclusive demo for a cross-platform game.

Yah, OXM grabbed the "exclusive" demo for a bit in North America, that's why it was only on PSN until now.
Quick question, does it have multiplayer? That sounds the most interesting, what with the dino's terrorizing both teams...

Of course it has multiplayer. Do some research.

After playing the demo I can safley say that this game is right on par with such classics as Jericho and Area 51 for the 360.

I downloaded this on my PS3 last week. It was OK for a demo. I'll wait until the reviews start coming in. Right now I'm thinking it's just a "rent".
