Why does it sound like someone is playing rock band drums. Is that possible? Would it help? How much time would it take an adult to master the same song?
and why does my wifes cat sleep under my computer desk and snore? I didnt even know cats snored.

It's really disgusting how people are reacting to this kid. Not here, but where the video is originally hosted. For every nice comment there seems to be like three comments from assholes. How is anyone calling a 9 year old kid a "homo" or telling him to get a life while likely spending exorbitant amounts of time online? These posts always make me feel bad for humanity, it seems like every video site is full of people like that lol.

If you go to this kid's, (or maybe it's his parents, idk), youtube page, you'll see that this kid has been consistently amazing for a while now. MAD PROPS!!!

To betsworth08: you're a noob. It's not easy expert. He has hyperspeed on. And there's nothing easy about it, alot of advanced players prefer it because it spaces out the notes, thus making the measures alot easier to read.
To elmersglue: dude, I'm half decent at GH, and I got an 86% on TFaF on expert. I think some people like the challenge and Harmonix has done a great job recreating the learning curve of playing the guitar. Some people just read into games alot harder, I guess...
and To Rob Z (and I guess Zimmerman): he "tapped" the beginning. It's a real guitar technique made famous by Eddie Van Halen, and I think the guys at Harmonix are awesome for incorporating it into the game. In TFaF, you hit that first note once and however you'd like to do it, you can "tap" that first section out, just like Ben's doing. Actually, numerous songs on GH (most notably this song and Jordan) incorporate "tapping", using both hands to hit those really hard passages instead of one on the fretboard. Ya noob...
...and for any doubts on this kid's cred...
So basically, this kid (Ben) is a regular on scorehero.com, a site that lets you post your scores on Guitar Hero I, II, 80's, & III. The site's actually so legit that Harmonix Founder & CEO Alex Rigopulous donated a significant amount of money and cred to the enormously community-driven site, so it's like the holy grail of Guitar Hero-ness and "beberle2" is like a god to the posters there.

I think its a fake.
They never ever actually show him activate star power and if you watch, when it is turned on you can't see him. Except in one instance when we could see the side of him when it was activated and the guitar wasn't tiped up to do it. Which means this is either fake or less likley he uses the button to activate star power. Also for the harder sections of the song the camera went off him. Add to this his hands really dont look like they are doing much when the are shown. Just seems fake. Coulda been someone else there doing it, but I dont think it was him.
