Our friend Major Nelson informs us that Sensible World of Soccer is now back up on Xbox Live Arcade and ready for download. Arcade soccer fanatics (and there are more than a few of you, apparently), will know that a broken version of the game was put up on Xbox Live Arcade earlier this week. The new version is apparently bug free and ready to free kick its way right into your heart. Major Nelson advises those who downloaded the borked version to delete it and redownload it from XBLA. The download will be free of charge for those that have already paid for the full version.

I gave this a try earlier and actually thought it was a lot of fun. Mapping all of the major moves to one button really frees things up and kills off the main reason I just don't like sports games.
I suck at it, though.

I completely agree. Why is everyone pissing themselves about this game? It's a crappy looking arcade title. Big deal!

reading through the various message boards i've heard that this "fixed" version is completely unplayable online. it freezes, it disconnects after a minute...it's really really bad. after all of this time how can they possibly still screw it up? if a complex game with graphics like COD4 can run flawlessly how can this turd not work online? it doesn't make sense.

I had one game online yesterday, and it was ok.....there was some lag, but it didn't really impact the game much really.
Single player though, is still just as fun as it used to be.

This game is still broken...not only does the game disconnect, freeze etc but both players can choose the options at the same time prior to the match causing confusion and potential cheating...several times ive hosted a game and the guest has tried to change my team to a 3rd division side...
Add to this the absence of penalties for quitting early means if your thumping your opponent 6-0 theres nothing to stop them from exiting the game leaving your triumph unrewarded...
This is a real shame as the gameplay is probably more compelling than the current incarnations of Fifa OR PES.
Please codemasters - FIX THIS TITLE.
