Over on their
Condemned 2: Bloodshot IGN blog, the Monolith development crew talks a bit about the evolution and story behind
Bloodshot's cinematics and how they are on a mission to greatly increase the pretty factor over
Criminal Origins. You see, back during
Criminal Origins' development, an inexperienced Monolith ran into some nasty technical issues with the game's cut scenes that caused them "to look very pixelated and 'last gen'". Now, for
Bloodshot, Monolith is attacking cut scene creation differently using the game's engine to create some gorgeous pre-rendered videos. Such an improvement over
Criminal Origins that we guarantee one of those "wow!" moments when you first play. Make the jump to get the complete
Bloodshot cinematics story.

oh fantastic! hopefully we can get a super hyped trailor of the game that features no actual gameplay and all pre rendered cut scenes!! That would be awesome! I really love when they do that.
the only thing thats better is when the trailor shows no gameplay or cutscenes, nothing from the actual game, see r6vegas2.
SWEET!!

Actually, that first "trailer" for RSVegas2 was a teaser not a trailer. A teaser is just that, a teaser. It's supposed to get you interested and inform you that yes, in fact, there is a game coming out, nothing more. A real trailer usually has a combination of cut scenes and gameplay. And as the game nears release the trailers will feature more and more real gameplay.

While I wouldn't say it was one of the scariest, it was definitely the best launch game for the 360 and, even though I played it long after its release, it was very fun and definitely had some really tense moments.
I too am excited for the sequel. Definitely looking forward to bigger and better things from Monolith.

Actually, Pre-Rendered entails that the cinemas would unfold in a sort of scripted video(usually c.g.). Real-time cinemas employ the game assets and graphics engine.

I didn't know the main character from "Splinter Cell Conviction" had a twin brother starring in "Condemned 2"
That's one talented emo family.
