So, everyone with an Xbox probably knows about the hidden soccer ball in Halo 2. The fancy lads over at 7th Columnist have uncovered that the soccer ball is making its return in Halo 3 via the upcoming Heroic Map Pack. Apparently the recently held press previews of the Heroic Map Pack revealed that the soccer ball would appear as one of the special Forge items available for the new map Foundry. Foundry, if you don't know, is a special map that is composed almost entirely out of objects players can manipulate inside Forge. In other words, the level can be treated as a blank slate upon which to design the ultimate Halo 3 map from the ground up. Now if only there were some way to make the game keep track of goals ....

Intense! this has amazing possibilities. I can think of a way to acknowledge goals- exploading fusion crates in the goals. However, I can't think of a way to keep track. Interesting. Enemy UAV IS AIRBORNE!

Wow...this might actually get me to go back and play a few games of Halo...
off topic: anyone else find it annoying you can't go back through and do side missions and explore and stuff after beating Mass Effect?

Can we give the ball a special item as part of it? Such as turning whoever touches the ball last into the juggernaut. Then, if you touch the ball, and keep it in touch, and you run through the goal, which can be set up as multiple hill positions set up together, and have it considered a score.
Or something.

I do. I would love to get some help on legendary but only a handful of people on my friends list are playing anymore. And all they play is multi-player anyway.

I thought it was supposed to be a giant soccer ball. It would be awesome to have a giant soccer ball, and then make a new social gametype called warthog soccer or mongoose soccer. Can you imagine how much fun valhalla would be for a soccer field? The way you could do it there would be that you had a goal in the air that you have to push the ball into the man cannon on your side to score.
Oh the possibilities.

I would be suprised if it WEREN'T a big soccer ball...I'm thinking they'll do exactly what they did with the last game...where it was about the size of a banshee...
What would be awesome, each team has 2 mongeese(haha), a warthog, and a banshee. The warthogs would probably be defense, the mongeese would be the rushers, and the banshees could either be defense or forwards.
So imagine it...the warthog passes the ball up to a mongoose screaming down the side, the mongoose knocks it up into the air and the banshees knocks it out of the air right into the goal *drools*
