Another video, this one taken from GayGamer.net, is posted after the break. One of the sites readers created the Gamertag "Gay Boy," took it into Halo 3 online, and recorded the results. As you might expect, the results are far from safe for work (or safe for civilized ears really). Just remember: mute button. It's your best friend, and the other guy will happily continue talking to no one. That's what the internet is for.

Jesus gayboy I'll give you the 1200 ms points it costs to change your gamertag so can stfu and gay game in peace. Of course you're going to get made fun of if you play xbox live with that name, I'd get made fun of if I traipsied into my local sports bar on gameday in a mini dress and heels.
That being said, I didn't think it was all that horrible. He should be a better Halo player, then maybe his team wouldn't be so mean to him.

This kind of report is so ridiculous. I mean, if your child goes outside of the house he can potentialy here all the same things and likely heres them at school as well. you cant control what people say, but you can mute people or not be around those people. When Im in a room filled with morons I simply leave the room, just like on live when im playing a free for all with some moron when the match is done, I leave the lobby and go to a new one. If youre kid cant hear profanity lock him in the basement with no access to the outside world and turn him to a zombie. If a parent cant figure out the parental controls setup on the XBOX they shouldnt have kids in the first place.

Where do you live that has people outside randomly cussing and using racial slurs left and right? I know in Indianapolis, you get your a-s-s handed to you if a black man (or woman) heard you drop an n-bomb and you are just some random person. get a clue. decent report. coulda been a lot better, but was much better than i expected. the parents could be parents and not let their kids get involved in it, but technology has become a great babysitter

I don't know, I can't remember the last time I walked out of my apartment and someone was yelling "jew k**e jew k**e" or "I wish Hitler had succeeded" or "I hope you get killed in a terrorist attack" or "I hate n******, s**** and k**es". And you obviously have never been around when a female gets on the mic. When my girlfriend plays just about every guy in a room claims he'll run a train on her. Nobody, especially children, should have to endure that kind of ignorant spew.

I think more people should start reporting inappropriate content. Eventually MS will have to start doing something about it. I make it a point to report any Gamer being offensive and I also give them a bad rep and mute them. I dont mind the occasionally explicative, but to continually rattle off curses just to curse is getting old quite quick. Unfortunately its becoming harder and harder to find games in the arcade because I have so many users blocked. It seems around 9-10pm EST immature gamers are the majority on live. I urge everyone to stop promoting this behavior on live and report mis-use every time. I dont care if its an M rated game or not. The M rating doesnt give any user the right to be offensive and ruin my enjoyment of the game.

Exactly. What they hell; did Fox make sure the kids playing were old enough for the games rating???
As for the gayboy gamertag, I don't condone homophobic behavior, racial slurs and the like, and report them myself, however, let's have a reality check here.
It's no different then somebody using "Evangelical Christian" as their gamertag. If you are intentionally advocating your belief/lifestye/culture/etc, there will always be those who are against it. That, sadly, is just life.
If I changed my gamertag to "pedophile", "racist idiot", "sexual deviant", "child abuser", "Bigbustedbabe", "longdongsilver" etc. I would be =naive= to be shocked at the reaction I would receive.
Lastly, I do take issue with them pigeon holing this problem on xbox live. It's readily available from all forms of low brows on any online system that grants you some form on anomenity.

I agree 100% with Knight Marquise. Parading (ha! pun) info like that around is practically antagonizing those who don't agree with it to vocalize their opinions.
I'm tempted to make "Please Mock Me" as a Gamertag and see what kind of response that gets. In other words, it's kinda asking for it.

I agree with all 3 of you guys. The simple fact is that homosexuality still isn't accepted in the majority of places(last time i checked, the US is a Christian nation), and if you're going to label yourself with a big (pink)neon sign, you're just asking for it. Do i think it's right? No, but don't be loud and proud if you can't take what you know is going to come from it.
XBL is a mens club, but instead of a mens club, it's a playground full of 8 year olds, picking on the most obvious weaknesses of others, but then theres also complete anonymity, to which everyone knows turns the most polite sweater knitting grandmother into a raving racist lunatic.

Oh no! Forget movies, rap songs, and even your child's friends at high school. Halo 3 is the devil! It's causing all of this!

There are times I wish people would just plain throw away their headsets, then there are times people were muted from the start of the game when asking them a question in the middle would have been nice. "Hey, why didn't John Elway throw the dang ball? I pushed X like 10 times and all he did was wave it..."

First of all you need to get your political orientations right, since I'm guessing that's what you're referring to. CNN (Liberals) are the ones who want to put limits your games; not Fox News (Conservatives). Do some research.
And second of all, this isn't even the Fox News you're thinking of. It's an affiliate of Fox News in Milwaukee; not the same thing.

hmmmm.. I wonder what a video of a screen name of Heteroboy would encounter. I bet it would get tons of jibes as well. Proclaiming you sexuality in your screen name sets you up for jibbing. Come on. I am not amused with the amount of hate talk but honestly, a name like gayboy for your live account name.

I'm guessing that over half of the people on Xbox Live are too dumb to even know what hetero means.
