Two Worlds wasn't exactly the Oblivion killer it was hailed to be, but apparently that isn't stopping Reality Pump from pumping out an expansion (see what we did there?). The expansion, entitled The Temptation, brings the typical things you'd expect from an expansion. These things include new areas to explore, new monsters to slay, improved NPCs, and a few new skills, most notably active blocking. The expansion is set to hit both the PC and consoles in the first half of 2008. So far the price has not been announced. But then again, you weren't really paying attention anyway, were you?

This was the crappiest game I've ever played. Luckily I have gamefly and it didn't cost me a thing except 2 weeks worth of gaming (damn gamefly and their slow shipping process)
So to answer your question, no I didn't care and no I wont purchase this game, oddly enough I cared about this game to talk crap about it.

Instead of wasting time expanding they should go back and fix everything that was wrong with the game instead. It would take a while.

The main things wrong with the original game, to me, were technical issues. They claimed some patch they were working on was fixing most of those, such as the framerate... so hopefully that's true.

Honestly, they should have fixed the game. No one will play the expansion if the game is full of bugs. That game was the worst game I have ever played. The frame-rate, lag, weapons, and everything else was terrible.
So, who cares about the stupid expansion if they won't even patch the crap they released in the first place...

I don't know, yes it had some technical issues but I did enjoy the overall scope of what was available for the game and its main mechanics. Granted it wasn't an easy game to play because of the glitches and issues but I still enjoyed it and still intend to finish the main story probably in February when my current wealth of new content finally dies...

I tried the demo a couple weeks back, and the only the the demo did was convince me to never buy the game.

Does the expansion give you a refund? Not that I bought it, for my fellow fanboys that took the unfourtunate plunge.

From the sound of the responses, I must be the only one who actually completed Two Worlds!
I tried the demo on the PC and I thought it was poor. It really didn't showcase what Two Worlds experience was really like ... quite the opposite! The demo crashed!
Still, when the 360 version was released, I bought it primarily because platform lacks RPGs, and I wanted an engrossing, long-lasting experience.
I have to say I quite enjoyed the game. It took a hour or two to appreciate it; to adapt to the mechanics of the game. Two hours was enough time to explore a bit, and get hooked. There were many things Two Worlds did better than Oblivion, in my opinion, though there were a few rough edges also. The ending was somewhat anti-climactic, but it turned out one of those few rare games that I could not put away. The distinct (southern) environments added flavor to the game that Oblivion lacked. I scored 920 achievement points with the game, and I am tempted to go back and get the remaining 80 ...
I'm looking forward to the expansion!

Except you can't get all the achievements until they patch the game. There is a cave in the west-central area of the map you can't enter.
Seriously they need to address the issues the game has before they start boasting of an expansion.

I'm with evilbyte on this. It wasn't the best game I've ever played, but I really did enjoy it. There were some technical issues here and there, but for the most part, it was a good solid RPG. I'll look forward to the expansion if it's at a fair price.

The game suffered because it was a german game that was over a year old that was directly ported to the 360 and I guess they slipped MS a $5 so they could get by the certification process. That and they had the nerve to charge full price for that steaming pile of shit. I can't believe I ever let it touch my console.

I'm curious to know why the developers made an expansion, when the actual game sold poorly.

Regardless of its issues, I personally enjoyed the game. Took about 50 hours to beat it so I definetly got my monies worth.
Also with the new patch that game out on 11/16 I think, the online stuff now works and has been fun. Now need to see if it fixed the broken achievements so I can have my 1000 points.
Cant wait to play the expansion.

The patch did not fix the glitched cave so 1000G is still impossible. I was pretty pissed about that.
I'll be getting the expansion. I loved the game despite all of its flaws and held on to it during my last sell off in the hopes there would be some future DLC. There is a whole huge city in the North blocked off by a sealed gate. I want in damnit.
