Well that's just great. Like we needed another reason to get the denizens of Xbox Live into griefing. The achievement list for Turok has been revealed and one achievement in particular could raise a new generation of team killing jerkholes. Entitled the "Grab Bag" achievement, it rewards players for killing "at least 1 creature, 1 enemy, 1 teammate, and yourself in the same round of a public match." Granted, at least it's not for a ranked match, but who's bright idea was this? Sorry Propaganda, but encouraging betrayals (outside of Kane & Lynch anyway) is not our idea of fun. That said ... we'll probably do it. We could use the points.

yes, I realized that after I posted =]
anyhow in shadowrun public matches were 'ranked' (notwithstanding that your rank was always hidden). turok is different?

Thats a stupid achievement, who the hell thought of that? Games should kick you for team killing not reward you. Further proof (if you needed any) that this game is in the hands of complete tools

It's a one-off achievement in good fun, relax.
I could understand it it was like "kill 100 teammates" but it's not.
if you ever played with me on Shadowrun , you pretty much had to expect to be teamkilled a few times per game. it's not that I did it on purpose, it's just that I'm an indiscriminate grenade thrower!

The problem is that it's a one-off achievement for EVERY SINGLE NOOB who has just entered their first game and it happens to be the one you're in. Anyone who gets this game will have to put up with this crap for several months until entire community (which will continue to grow, by the way, because not everyone will get the game on day one) has gotten the achievement. Stupid, stupid move on Propaganda's part. Just plain stupid. On the bright side, I'm sure TK can be turned off in the menus.

Also, keep in mind that because it's "1 creature, 1 enemy, 1 teammate, and yourself" we're going to see people doing multiple attempts to get the achievement. For example:
You kill an enemy and a teammate, but then you get killed. No achivement. So you try again, killing an enemy, teammate, and a creature, but you get killed before you get the chance to take your own life. So you go back and try again. Betrayal killing will be rampant in this game, thus turning a team-based game into a free-for-all deathmatch scenario. If the developers were smart then they'd make a separate mode of "every man for himself" wherein you earn an achievement for taking down 2 enemies, 1 creature, and then killing yourself. But, see, that would just make too much sense. Idiots!

Finally a reason for my mindless teamkilling... no really I only teamkill douchebags. Gotta fight douchebagery with douchebagery.
If you all freak out about teamkilling that badly then you shouldn't join a game with teamkill enabled or better yet join my game so I can get a rise out of you for kicks n giggles.

@7: The wording of the achievements suggests to me that you can die in between kills, just get them all in one round.
Sounds like everyone will get it after throwing a few grenades into the mix.
