Poor PS3 owners, 600 bones down the drain. Guess we won't be seeing a PS4.

Well atleast ME3 will be backwards-compatible on the Xbox 720. I say release Mass Effect every year until 2009.

@1, are you illiterate? Read the article again, Bioware's president said that he could NOT confirm exclusivity. Richard's title is extremely misleading. Probably need to take that ethics in journalism 101 class one more time Mr. Mitchell.

Zeschuk states very plainly that the game will stay on 360. Not sure what the confusion is. The headline says nothing about exclusivity at all.

Bioware must be pretty confident in Mass Effect for calling in a trilogy before the first one has even released. Mass Effect is definitely a first day purchase for me, I should be able to take a small break from Halo 3 by then.

@3, yes I am. Don't make fun of my disibility. You know how hard it is in life to only be able to "read" picture books (the selection is very limited). Now that thats out of the way, its only pure speculation but the way the PS3 is headed, I'm putting my money on it only being on the 360.

Nick, I am literate and have taken many journalism classes in ethics and metaphysics. I was wondering if you could help me further my education by giving me some insights on how to be awesome on the internet. If you haven't already, could you please write and sell a book entitled "How to be Awesome on the Internet". I would totally buy that book.

You probably need to take Reading (yes that's what it is called in grade school) class one more time Mr. Nick.
"Zeschuk: Certainly our intent is to have all three iterations or instalments of Mass Effect to be on Xbox 360. That's the goal."

@7 When this book hits the shelves, can you take a picture of it and send it to me since I am illiterate and would not know what it is called?

With Microsoft as the publisher, I doubt this game could even go to the PS3. Wouldn't be surprised to see it on PC, though.

So, does this mean Mass Effect 2 is already in development?

What a misleading title. He said all 3 would be on X360 but said it's too early to say if it's going to any other platform (PC, PS3 maybe).
Also, FTA, "Zeschuk further notes that BioWare is hoping that the latest console cycle will last longer than the previous cycle".
Too bad Zeschuk. When the new Xbox drops in 2008 or 2009, not only will you get little to no backwards compatibility, but you'll get to watch your fans blow another $400 or $500 just to play the second game in your trilogy. Look at their past record with the original Xbox, dropped like a hot potato the day the X360 was launched.

I completely agree with this guy about console cycles. I had my Xbox for only two years and they stopped making games for it. I hope the Xbox 360 cycle lasts longer because I want more than two years with it. (I bought my 360 a month ago)
@1
As much as I'd love to see that, I highly doubt that would happen. Actually I am more afraid of this being the last Xbox because I don't want to buy a Playstation to get my h-core fix.
