Halo 3 to include flamethrower and firebomb

Super juicy Halo 3 details hit the internet tonight when IGN received some exclusive information about two "hot" new weapons that'll grace our Halo 3. The two new weapons are the Halo CE flamethrower and a new grenade type called the firebomb with both being available in campaign and multiplayer.

So, onto the details. Everyone's favorite flamethrower will be treated as a third person weapon (think turret gun and missile pod), so you'll walk slower but you'll be able to shoot out a liquid stream of fire that can burn pillars, warthogs or the occasional bubble shield (no joke!). The second fiery weapon is the firebomb which acts very similar to the flamethrower's liquid fire, but more convenient and will be the fourth grenade type. Even cooler is the fact that the firebomb's fire will burn on the ground for a while allowing players to create walls of fire or traps in multiplayer. Suhweet! Head over to IGN to get all the specifics and details about the two new weapons everyone will be using to burn their opponents this September.

[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in.]

7. man i think its pretty clear that bungie and ms are pulling out all the stops on this game. i think what makes it great is that the headlines always say what bungie WILL include in the game, and not what's missing.

8. I cant imagine the pressure the guys are Bungie are facing right now. They have so much hype to live up to. I'm going to bet the guys don't get to leave the office for very long.

9. God, you guys, they don't have to live up to shit. The game could be the shittiest game ever created, and it will still "live up to the hype" because no matter what, every fanboy will say its the greatest game ever. And fanboys is basically the entire fanbase of the game. It is a horrible series ever since Halo 2. Let it die.

14. @12

I've played Halo 2 (owned it since release, just like the original Halo), and played the beta, as well. I know what its like, and its the same damn thing. If you say otherwise you'd be a liar.

How about you shut up, and don't post. If you're going to sit there and try to tell another person not to post just because you don't agree with it, maybe you shouldn't, yourself.

15. @14

Beta not final game. Play it again noob. Also don't talk please, you clearly don't know anything about video games or Halo for that matter.

16. @Zeus the God

Just fuck off no one wants to hear ur bitching its fine if you have an opinion about it , but seriously you dont have to be an ass and bitch at people because they do not agree with you. Seriously grow up.

But yea i cannot wait for Halo 3 its going to be amasing, just when you think it cannot get better it does. The cool thing is on the bungie.net's wekly update they say that there are still alost of weapons we do not know about and some more new armor types. I just cannot wait September 25th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19. @ Zeus The God (#14)

Don't tell someone to stop posting when you're the one talking shit about the 360's flagship title on a website about praising it. If you have nothing good to say, than shut the hell up. I respect your opinion on Halo franchise, but what I dislike is when you go out of your way to be a total buzzkill on everyone's pre-Halo 3 excitement. Why don't you bitch about what you don't like in Halo 3 AFTER the game is out so that you actually have a finished game to criticize. This is a website for being happy and positive about the Xbox 360 and it's games. You want to bad-mouth Halo 3? Go to PS3 Fanboy. Because quite frankly, those are the only people stupid enough to look down upon one of the greatest franchises in gaming. Zeus, suck my balls.

Posted at 2:09AM on Aug 11th 2007 by oldxskoolxhollywood

20. oh oh, zeus suck mine too!

i seriously don't understand why people don't like Halo. It's got great characters and an epic plot. the gameplay is solid. the score is amazing and the marketing potential is through the roof.

can you really see a Killzone brand can of Soda? maybe Killzone Bicardi 151, but my point is no matter how you cut it, Halo is a franchise for the history books.

Halo 3 looks to offer plenty of fun, with so many options to battle and AND you can record all those goofy multiplayer moments you've seen but your buddy swears he did not...oh the memories...

Killzone 2...just looks depressing. but hey, some people are into cutting their wrists sooo....
