Right now, available on the Xbox Live Marketplace to all countries except Germany, is an action packed demo for John Woo's upcoming game
Stranglehold. The
Stranglehold demo weighs in at a rather hefty 1.28GB and features a taste of the campaign's Hong Kong marketplace gameplay as well as some intense combat and shooting fun. We advise giving the the demo a try to see if the "cinematic firefights" are something that are worth dropping your jaw over or if you can live up to John Woo's badass'icity. Go ahead, make Mr. Woo's day.

te kick ass game. its unbelivable all the shit you can totally destroy. it also shows that there is a multiplayer mode which im sure everyone was wondering about. it looks like you can do all the crazy shit you can do in single player on the multiplayer. so itll be cool as hell to blast people onlin in slow motion and tear some shit up bc there will be nowhere to hide. three more weeks and i cant wait!!! poor PS3 they have to wait until september now. hahah

No worries, I just checked purolator right now, and apparantly at 8:07AM this morning, my coffin was "On vehicle for delivery". Which means my coffin'll be at my house today, and that (because I have practice and wont be home till 9 tonight) i'll be bringing it into the Purolator store tonight or more likely tomorrow morning.
which means this weekend i'll probably go without my toy. oh well...wouldn't have had much time for it anyways.

You'll probably receive your replacement 360 around the 23rd, if I figure my timing correctly. That's at least per my experience I had with my replacement. Takes a week to get to McAllen Texas, and about another week to get back to you. They always overestimate how long it might take to get back to ya, it seems.
At the worst possible outcome, you'll have a replacement system for Halo 3! :)

For some reason Crackdown just sits at the "Loading Saved Game" screen for like 5 mins before I shut it off. Wonder if this has anything to do with the Xbox Live error??

@ Kryptinite: Well this'll be the 3rd time im sending in my box...so yea. First time: 4 busindess-day turnaround. 2nd: 7 business-day turnaround. I'm hoping this trend doesnt continue...and that this wont be a 10 business-day turnaround. so far its been only 2 business days since i called in the problem (today being the 3rd) and i'm about to get my coffin...seems normal enough.)

Well there's 2 things that we have better here. I was told by the service rep, AND the service manager (to which my call got escalated cuz it was my 3rd time) that in Canada, unlike the US, they just send out a replacement console. In the US, they try to repair YOUR console first, then if that fails they send you a replacement. Makes the process a helluva lot easier AND, more notably, faster. (I figure its cuz, and no offense to anyone here, all of the cheap Mexican labour in the US, that Canada doesn't have. LOL)
2nd thing is...the local service centre is only a 30 min drive from my house. IF ONLY they let me just come in (like sony did with my PS2 [5 times actually]) and do everything there without the postage, it would save them money and it would save me time and headaches. Notably more, the "service" centre that my box got sent to last time, which I'm assuming it'll get sent to this time too, is on my daily drive to work, so it wouldn't even be out of my way.
Oh well, its not my money they're wasting. Its theirs.

Hey, do you think it would be a good idea to have them ship me a coffin despite my xbox 360 being completely fine right now? The reason I say this is that in case my 360 decides to crap out on me closer to Halo 3 I would want to get it shipped out there ASAP to get it fixed, so if I can save a few days of them shipping the coffin then maybe I would save a few days and get it back before Halo 3 comes out.
Is that something they would let me do, or do I HAVE to send in a 360 if they give me a coffin right away? Just trying to plan ahead here.

I managed to get the demo this morning (UK) and since cant get onto xbla so something is obviously up, but will no doubt be fixed soon. As for the demo, it is incredible fun! I had no intention of getting this game but now its added to an ever growing list of must-have upcoming 360 titles! Its a great complete demo that really lets you know what this game is all about - non-stop action packed fun!!!! As for the coffin Id like to know the same as erivera3

Yeah, XBL obviously took a shit, because it says it's connected, but the ads don't display and I can't run FFXI since it requires XBL to run PlayOnline Viewer.
