Quick on the heels of Aaron Greenberg's announcement that X07 is dead and will not be happening this year, Microsoft has confirmed with gamesindustry.biz that they have another event scheduled to take its place in the UK. The new Xbox event (name still pending) will be focused towards a UK audience instead of the broad European audience X07 catered to and should take place before Christmas as no specific dates have been announced.It's true, we were a bit depressed yesterday hearing that our X07 went the way of the mullet, but with today's announcement of a replacement event we have perked up a little. Any Xbox 360 event that brings us new announcements, trailers or gameplay makes us happy and we're glad to see Microsoft make an effort to bring such excitement to the UK. Long live end of the year gaming events in Europe no matter where they take place!

Good to hear they are going to replace it with something. I wasn't happy to hear X07 "going the way of the mullet" but this gives me some hope. MS hopefully has some huge surprises for 08. They need it!

what will they show more Halo 3 and Mass Effect trailers and gameplay why bother watch it if there just goona talk about games that are coming out for the PS3 and PC wait ill squeeze some exclusive games that you might care about Fable 2, Splinter Cell conviction, bio shock, Project Gotham 4............. thats it i dont care for project gothem 4 and fable 2 is just gonna get compared to oblivion when it comes to content, splinter cell conviction looks good but i feel like all those games i named might be overshadowed by 3rd party multiplatform games and there is a lot of good ones. and whats scary is most of the games i named might just go to the PC since MS is trying to Unify PC and 360(Sony aint the only one trying to push there products) with vista witch i think is retarted why do i want to pay for live on my PC is that where PC games are headed. OMFG if they touch COD4 im killing someone.

Hello, this is Halo 3 it costs £XX.XX more becasue os X.
And this is the Elite, because of X, it will cost £XX.XX more to purchase in the UK.
You can see where I am going with this. If they didn't spend money on these conferences games could be cheaper.
