Hey, remember back when Haze was a timed exclusive for the Playstation 3? Remember that other time when Ubisoft revealed its release schedule for Holiday 07 and Haze 360 was dated only a week after the PS3 version? We hope you do remember, because it looks like Ubisoft is trying to rewrite history. The release list, revealed only yesterday, has since been revised, removing the 360 and PC versions of Haze altogether. Joystiq points out, and so must we, that this series of events has an eerie symmetry to the initial mystery surrounding the 360 version of Assassin's Creed. Again, Ubisoft refuses to directly answer questions regarding PS3 exclusivity, saying only that the PS3 is "the only confirmed platform."
Will history repeat itself? Is Haze destined to appear as though it were a PS3 exclusive title? Perhaps more interesting, assuming that the game is coming to 360, is maintaining the illusion of exclusivity really important?

Normally I'd just shrug and say "whatever", but the fact that it was on that list for only a week later makes it very odd. They did claim PS3 would lead (which even with those dates, it technically would), but given the almost entirely PS3-centric coverage of the game it also gave a heavy impression that the 360 version would come substantially later.
I think Ubisoft clearly knows that putting any game on PS3 only at this point would be shooting them in the foot. The game will obviously also hit 360 (it was also listed for PC) and I am willing to bet they want it out before Christmas.
Really, the "damage" is done. Why bother retracting it completely? Even if they just stuck up a much later date for the 360 version it'd make a lot more sense.

I wonder if they think that'll be a good idea when the PS3 goes sub 100k sales for a fourth month in a row.
It's okay though.. after seeing what is going to be on the 360 this fall. who has time for another shooter?
Also, why would PC users want to slum it after they get Crysis?

Jcarpio has a point. Halo 3, Unreal III, and Team Fortress in a few month period and Ubisoft wants to force another one on consumers? Better water for the January to June drought.

lol who cares man.. They probably did it so they can get PS3 fanboys hyped up by saying "it's like killzone and 360 can't handle killzone!"

While I have no interest in this title, this is very shady. Maybe they got told off by Sony for not honouring some aspect of the exclusivity arrangement.

If you remember, the creator GAZE was bashing Halo earlier. So it's not surprising that it looks to be a PS3 exclusive. Who cares. This game looks like crap anyway.
