New Need for Speed trailer shows new hotness
A new trailer has popped up for the next incarnation of Need for Speed. At the moment, the game goes without any subtitles, leaving us unable to properly identify it. The trailer shows off a real purdy car which subsequently explodes, and really, what more do you need from a video game? The trailer concludes with a quick blurb directing viewers to check out NeedforSpeed.com on May 31st. Impatient people that we are, we decided to check it out now, and were sadly greeted with the website for Need for Speed: Carbon. Sigh ... guess we'll have to wait.

Way to milk a franchise. In the year and a half that the 360 has been out we have two NFS games and we're getting a third.

I agree with Mark...EA is milking this franchise for everything its worth...and its giving the title a bad name. I mean...for me...Carbon was about 3 steps down from Most Wanted...
Here's to hoping that this game is actually good...

I agree with DjDATZ. Most Wanted was a pretty decent title; Carbon sucked ass. I mean neither storyline was epic or standout in any way, but at least Most Wanted you could follow and what somewhat cohesive.
Given EA's need for speed in releasing more Need for Speed games, I have doubts that this latest entry will be worth playing at all.

I think the whole franchise peaked at Underground 2, kinda simmered nicely with Most Wanted (those police chases were excellent), but Carbon was attrocious. The whole notion of bringin in a 'crew' was pointless, and the rubber-band racing where you could never build a decent lead was unbearably frustating. The whole car-moulding option was a little boring, too.
On another note, those Gamevideo embedded videos are useless. 10meg line and it still stutters it's way through a 30-sec clip.
