Back in January Xbox 360 Fanboys everywhere erupted with laughter when Sony accidentally used an image from Project Gotham Racing 3 to promote Gran Turismo HD. Well, it's happened again, though Sony likely isn't at fault. A KIA website ad used an image of a car from PGR3 which alternated with the real version the same car. Making this even funnier is the Playstation 3 branding all over the screen. As CVG notes, it was more likely someone at KIA who made the mistake, not Sony. Still, the irony of using an Xbox 360 game to promote the graphical realism of the PS3 is just too good. The ad has since been changed, but you can see the offending image (including the telltale license plate) above.

Reasons like this are why Sony PS3 is called, Fony BS3.
Sony has been doing this for a long time, though.
Remember when Sony kept showing Assassins Creed and saying it was on a Playstation 3, even though there was an Xbox 360 under the table.
And remember when Sony kept saying all of the EA Sports games were running on a Playstation 3, when they were really running on an Xbox 360.
Sony doesn't deserve the business of gaming enthusiasts. That is one of the reasons why the Playstation 3 isn't selling well in any part of the world.
It's funny listening to Sony's Japanese people say that the reason the system isn't selling well in Japan isn't because the system has crap for games, but because they system is "too large for the Japanese culture."
Sony lies...that's all they do.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think "Killed In Action" any time they see "KIA"?

From a rather large multi national, It's hard to beleive that Sony is trying to pull off this sort of BS. I mean, they have a lot of smart people working for that company and someone should have at least caught this right?
If I were a the Product Manager for the PS3 r even a marketing exec at Sony, I wouldn't appreciate this egg on my face publicity. How and why on earth would this pass through all the sign offs required to publish any of the sort only to be using a competitor's product? This is ridiculous, they couldn't even "brush" it out.
On top of everything, the thing that really has been pissing me off from Sony in general is their lackadaisical attitude regarding the intelligence of their customers. Imagine having Starbuck's using Dunkin Donuts coffee for their over priced shit, their customers would revolt and boycott the company entirely. Any other company out there would never dare try to pull off a prank like this let alone actually see it start to finish.
Sony needs to do something or this operating loss that they experienced during the launch of their flagship gaming system is going to be a yearly occurance

That sucks. It makes Gran T look bad. Gotham racing can't compare to GT.
