During the current whirlwind that is the Halo 3 beta, the guys over at Bungie thought it'd be the opportune time to let the world in on their secret and announce Halo 3's official release date. September 25th, 2007 (September 26th for our European friends) will be the day when Halo fans will be camping out for midnight releases all around the world, standing in line, and finally being able to Finish the Fight. And for those of you who are wondering if this affects Bungie's internal schedule, the short answer is no. They've known about the official release date for the past few months, so the only difference now is that the whole world knows. So fanboys, how will you be celebrating September 25th?

Bioshock in August, GTA in October... September is a pretty ballsy spot to take, I just hope that Mass Effect is nowhere near it.

So this year I'll be playing: Halo 3, Mass Effect, Too Human, GTA 4, Bioshock, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Forza 2 and Shadowrun. Possibly Splinter Cell.
PS3 will have... er... maybe Lair. Since Metal Gear 4: Senior Snake is 2008 now, Christmas looks shitty for the Sony fanboys. Maybe Killzone will ship early. lol.

Thats probably a good thing. If its right when school starts, you know that you won't be hitting the books too heavily quite yet, so you'll have no fake guilt about missing a few classes the next day.
