Finally, official word has come through the internet pipeline about the Spring dashboard update. Major Nelson jumped on his blog to tell everyone that the new dash update will not be released today (Tuesday) and doesn't give any hard release details. We know everyone is eager to get the update, but it's important to remember that Microsoft stated way back when that the Spring update would be released the week of May 7th and not the day of. Just sit back and don't bother firing up your 360 periodically throughout the day, because the Spring update will not be there. But be sure to keep your fingers crossed for a Wednesday release. Come on lucky Wednesday!

With the fears of bricked consoles, I might wait a few hours after it's released and see if XboxFanboys have damaged consoles after they update..... HINT FOR STORY HINT HINT!

9. This unsettles me - this late in the game they should have a concrete date set - it's not like they haven't been working on it for a while now, and we're now in the week of the release.... so why isn't there a release date for something coming this week?
Sounds like there may be some issues we don't know about to me. Hope the update doesn't brick consoles this time.

10. #6 i think you are dreaming this because there are no sucj videos on marketplace anywhere showing anything about the update. dont know what you think you saw but it wasnt anything about the update.

13. Us HD-DVD add on users really, really need this update. It is supposed to fix some fairly serious audio issues. I'm holding off on watching some discs until it's released.
