In the April issue of OXM the Rumor Mole speculates about a sequel to semi-breakout hit Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. The rumor fueling evidence on a sequel comes straight from developer Airtight Games' website. Their website lists numerous ex-Crimson Skies employees under their company bios section and also shows off prototype images/videos that include objects eerily familiar to the Crimson Skies world. Need more proof? Under Airtight's current projects section they say that they are "working with one of the industry's leading publishers on a major unannounced title". Suspicious we say. Suspicious.
True or not, there is definitely a possibility that a Crimson Skies sequel in the works. But even if the game is in development we aren't expecting to see this game releasing anytime soon. So, anyone up for a little high flying sequel?

Hell yeah! That would be awesome...that was my favorite Xbox game released, it was also the first game that I played on Xbox live. I would absolutely love to see a sequel!

I played more Crimson Skies online then I did Halo 2. Such a great game and I hope the sequel is even better.

A great game but something was lost from the OG PC version. We need a return of the fully customizable planes and paint.

I just hope they add a cockpit view or it'll suck.

Yes, of course.
I think there have been hints that Airtight was working on this for quite some time now though.

I would much prefer more Blazing Angels--I prefer more realism over Sky Captain type of stuff.

This is actually extremely old news, but it's always good to see Crimson Skies in the news again.

I'd love to see a sequel, the original was one of my fave Xbox games and it’s so much better than Blazing Angels. What’s even better is that the original game is on the back compat list and I’d advise anyone to pick us a used copy and give it a try.

I could see this being a great XBLA game with multiplayer functionality obviously. As for an actual hard-copy release, I don't see how people would buy it since it's very simplistic.
I just think millions of people would spend $15 on this game, but not nearly as many willing to spend $60.

That would be very sweet indeed if they made a sequel to this game. The Xbox Live multiplayer was awesome...even though the single player was so so.
When I look at PS3 warhawk...I totally think that it's a Crimson Skies copycat.

I would love a sequel. Didn't have an original xbox, but bought the game used at Gamestop for $5, as it is backwards compatible on the 360. Works great, and is a lot of fun, especially for $5.

Wow, i didn't realise how many Crimsion Skies fans were out there. This was one of my favorite games for the big black box, and one i was happy to see make the BC list... unlike X-men Legends...
I played this on LIVE alot, and would love to see more of it on my 360. The first game set the bar pretty high and I am excited to see where else they'll take the gameplay. Here's hoping the up the ante on the multiplayer to make it even more spectacular.
