After getting 2K Games to create a limited edition version of Bioshock, fans then got a chance to vote on what they wanted in their precious LE. And after tallying up all the votes 2K Games just announced the LE specifics. The Bioshock LE will be available the same day as the regular edition (August 21st), sport an embossed case featuring the artwork of the cover art contest winner, and retail for $69.99. The LE will also include a "Making of" DVD, soundtrack CD, and a not so adorable Big Daddy figurine. It's also interesting to note that the Bioshock LE will be exclusively available at Gamestop and EB Games in the US and Canada with European details to come.
We're quite impressed with Bioshock's LE offerings, as we haven't seen a LE come this jam-packed with additional content for some time. Do you think all the extra goodies are worth $10 or will you be sticking to the regular edition?

I definitely think the LE is worth the extra 10 dollars. Think about it, people made a petition asking for this thing, and i'm sure when 2k games made the poll about what we wanted to be included with it, no body expected them to choose more than one of the options. The limited edition case and the making of video alone is worth the extra 10 in my opinion, the soundtrack and the figurine just makes it even better. I think Bungie needs to learn a little something from these guys in the pricing department.

People didn't make a petition asking for the LE. 2K Games did. They required only 5,000 signatures to merit creating another SKU (It ended up with over 26,000 though).
I'm just glad we're getting multiple goodies. I personally would have like an art book of the adverts for the various stores...but thats just me.

Yes I probably will get the LE but not just because of all that stuff, but because I think 2K deserves it for being a proper business and giving the consumer what they want.
I have a lot of respect for them on how they handled this.

There were far better things on that poll, such as the cd, and I think there was even something better.

@ #5
if you can't remember what the "better stuff" are, then they're obviously not that much better. And what cd are you talking about? Anyways, apparently some people are hard to please cuz i think this is a pretty good deal.

I won't buy the LE if I have to go to EB/GS. I hate those stores with a passion.

Got on the website and ordered online as soon as I saw this story. Have been looking forward to this one for a while now. My total came out to about 85 bucks (5 for taxes, 10 for overnight shipping).
Am I a sucker? Yes, probably.

Me personally, Limited/Special Edition packs don't do it for me.
But it definitely sounds like it's worth an extra ten dollars. (Probably be about 20 quid extra over here.)
As #1 said, the Big Daddy figurine is probably gonna sell it.
