Recently announced Guitar Hero III will be sporting something we wish Guitar Hero II would have included ... online multiplayer. In an interview with Red Octane president Kai Huang, Pro-G confirmed that GH III would indeed include an online component. So fanboys, does this mean that a rumored future GH II update to include online multiplayer will never see the light of day? Well, it doesn't sound overly promising seeing that they'll probably use "Super Duper Online Multiplayer" as a new feature and bullet point for their third installment. Oh well, we still love you GH II and will wait to see if you'll grace us with online play later this year.

Should have had this in GH2 but since this is a port of the PS2 version and the PS2 online sucks ass, they didn't want to spend the extra time to add this feature. But there has been rumor of adding this feature down the road but I wouldn't count on it. Also, you notice the intro wasn't fixed to support a higher resolution and it looks 4:3 aspect ratio instead of letterbox?

What I find funny is that Red Octane can announce GHIII but they still haven't said anything about the rediculous pricing for LIVE. WHY?? If you listen to Major Nelson's Pod Cast from last night he blamed RO for the pricing!! Of course he's lying, but still someone from RO should have had a press confrence. They as of now have not and that's VERY disappointing. I have lost all respect for them!!

@ #6 Plus this is RO's first time dealing with Xbox peeps (to the best of my knowledge) and are use to sub par standards that the PS2 has had for years. They are not use to the awesomness of the 360!!!!

@Craig, how much respect did you have for a company whose stock in trade is rhythm games anyhow?
@Peff, If you want the songs from GHII, I'd buy it now (can't hurt to have a second guitar controller anyhow) At the rate they're going, RO will probably still be willing to sell you all the GHII tracks to play in GHIII... but they'll set you back more than buying GHII itself. ;)
