In the coming month, Marvel Ultimate Alliance will have two new character packs featuring 8 new playable heroes and villians. The Good Guys™ are comprised of Hawkeye, The Incredible Hulk, Nightcrawler and Cyclops, and the Baddies™ include Dr. Doom, Magneto, Sabretooth, and our personal favorite, Venom. Individually, the packs will run you 500 MS points, but you can nab both for 800, saving you $2.50 USD, or $3.20 CAN. On top of the new content, their will be additional Achievements available, most likely to coincide with the new characters. Once they are unveiled, we'll give you the details. So, would you pay up to play as these characters in Marvel UA?

I just purchased my copy of MUA thi spast weekend and although I knew it would be pretty cool to play as an alternative game, I didn't think I would be playing for 4 hours at a clip! This game is addictive. I have not had a chance to play all of the characters with the game but I definitely plan on purchasing both new character packs. Can't wait to use Venom and The Hulk.

These characters should have been playable from the beginning. How friggin' hard is it to come up with a few more skins to recycle A and B button combination animations with? I hate that I almost only comment on this blog when I have something cynical and negative to say, but this "DLC" sounds less like a Microsoft-style expansion that would enhance the game, and a lot more like a pointless Sony-style "microtransaction" designed to bleed money out of helpless fanboys. Just as Deadpool barely controls any different to Spider-Man, I'm thinking the Hulkster ain't going to be a huge departure from Ben Grimm's move list.

I have been waiting for a better reason to get UA... i loved the X-men Legends titles but more because I am a fan of the X-men... being able to play as Cyclops (my favorite) and Magneto might push me to get the game...

Yeah I read the comics and when marvel wants my money they usually get it. I just want to know how they will get the 250 extra achievement points. Is it 250 in each pack or 125 by themselves. I NEED TO KNOW to get some more gamerscore....

The new DLC is welcome, but not for $10. The additional achievements will probably push some people to slurge, but I won't spend that much on just characters. If there were a side mission that involved the new characters, I would bite, but as it stands, I'll pass.

Ill probably get this, though it does seem kinda expensive if its basically just a handful of new characters. Also, not sure what the point is of the villian characters, doesnt mesh with the game. Can you fight Dr. Doom with Dr. Doom now? I would have preferred extra super heroes over the villians, along with an extra level or at least a simulator disc or two to play.

I just got this game from gamefly and the game sucks. I dont know why all you people like it. I must be because of the characters so maybe microsoft is doing something right here. I definitely won't be getting th dlc. Who wants to play a game where all you have to do is press the a button constantly.
