We've told you, we've reminded you, and now we're officially sponsoring the 1,000 People Online Achievement Event alongside MyGamerCard and Xbox 360 Achievements. The scheduling hasn't changed, as it's still slated for 8:00 PM GMT (check your local time), and will last for 3 hours. This is going to be big and we're proud to be an integral part of this. Even Major Nelson recognized this by letting his readers know what was going down this weekend. Remember, this is going to be your last chance to get this Achievement. So, if you missed out on Achieve360Points moderately successful attempt, go get your hands on a copy of NBA Live 07 and we'll see you online Sunday.

I am absolutely getting sick of all the coverage for this event. Just one post mentioning the attempt and then another when the attempt was either successful or a failure would be enough.
I honestly would love to know why this one particular blogger for X3F is so in love with this site and how he can get away with filling this professional site with so many mindless advertisements for such a sub-par site. Glad to see he is able to do whatever that heck he wants on here and no one cares.
The previous attempt was moderately successful? That sounds like a blatant stab at A360P which is not necessary. You could have simply said "successful" and that would have been fine, but he just had to throw in an opinion. I'm so glad that Dreger has such a complete disregard for professionalism and decides to throw in little bashful statements that do nothing but show how immature he is.
The first article he put up about A360P's Event was completely unjustified and I noticed it was changed pretty quick, probably because a REAL journalist seen it, did some research, and changed it to be correct. I thought this place was all about being equal, although A360P had a total of what, two posts about their event and this one site has had it mentioned nearly 5-6 times? If this crap keeps up, I don't think I'll be reading X3F anymore.

It was moderatly successful because some people didn't get it if they were listening to the radio and these people didn't know bout this beforehand. Thats why there is the word moderate. Did you bother to look at the link to read the description that lets people know why it was moderate.

this is such a silly achievement.
Did they decide that their game was such garbage that it would be a chore to get 1000 people online at once?
imagine if this was for gears, halo, or even something like R6.
the achievement would be unlocked the first time you ever played online.

Jack,
The only reason we're covering this event as much as we are is because we decided to help X360A get the word out (you'll notice our logo on the banner). They asked for our help and we accepted. We're more than willing to lend a hand to anyone in the 360 community.
