Crackdown Demo climbs up Top Live Titles

Yesterday, Major Nelson released his weekly report regarding the Xbox Live activity, and the results caught us off guard. No, Halo 2 didn't beat out Gears of War due to the Halo 3 beta's Rule of 3 phase. Crackdown's demo came in 2nd for unique users on Xbox Live. It even toppled Rainbow Six Vegas, which is equally surprising. Obviously the game is a lot of fun and people are enjoying the demo, and doesn't need a marketing ploy to sell copies. The thing that we're curious about is how the Crackdown demo compared to Halo 2's unique user count? Then again, perhaps the Rule of Three kept Halo 2 as second overall between Xbox and Xbox 360 combined. So, obviously, some of you must have been playing the demo, have you done anything cool this past week in Crackdown?

nope, im not playing it. No point to playing the demo over and over again just to get bored by the time the game launches. I deleted the demo after trying it, and will now wait till the game is released and buy it.

I climbed the agency tower with my brother platying coop over XBOX live. At the top, I tried to kick him as a suprise, but he managed to force me off instead.

I have played the demo in COOP mode more than I have in solo. It's just too much fun.

I agree. I cant seem to find an agent awesome enough to be worth playing the full game through. So far my favorite one is the goth, but only because he gets cool hair. I would like to have a normal white guy, and the ability to choose the goth's hair advancement.

"anything cool"

My friend who i usually play with and I have been going to the top of the angency tower for specific duels. Sometimes we have a grenade or mine battle, sometimes a jump kicking joust etc.

Also, I maxed out my driving skill in the last game I played online, but I couldnt figure out how to shoot my gatling guns on the supercar or how to bunny hop in the SUV. Anyone know the answer?

No. There is no save feature on the demo so there is no saving of attributes.

Me and my friend play tag, cops and robbers ( I get a cop car and chase him in a pursuit till his car blows up or I pit him in a corner or off a high cliff into water or something.) Then we switch. Pile a ton of cars and use mines and watch then blow up really high. This demo is one of the greatest demos ever, along w/ saints row. Oh yeah and shooting cars tires and watching them flip! It's classic! hahah

We play the "how far can your exploding body go" game online. Pile up as many cars and explosive barrels as possible. One agent stands on top of the pile while the other tosses a grenade. You can really pump up the distance if you get airborne just before the explosion goes off. I found myself more than three blocks away in one blast.

When standing on the freeway shooting out tires and creating pileups, I find it amusing that people on the other side will rubberneck and rear-end each other, just like in real life.

This demo is highly addictive. Even after playing every character even on the difficult setting I still can't get enough of it and refuse to delete it. They should have just called this game "Crack".
