Fable 2: Havok in the land of Albion

IGN reports that Lionhead Studios has adopted the Havok physics engine for use in the upcoming Fable 2. Peter Molyneux, the man behind the Fable series, hopes that Havok will simplify and streamline the development process, allowing designers to bypass physics calculation and instead focus on creating the game world itself. Frankly, we don't really care what sort of physics the game employs as long as it makes it out before 2008.

Hey, Lionhead, how about throwing us some in game footage? We need something to obsess about, and concept art just isn't cutting it anymore.

1. Bite your tongue and let the man finish his game. I'd rather see a piece of Molyneux genius (using the Havok engine physics, nice) than something hurried out for release.

2. Amen to that, in fact I want them to save some stuff for 2008. 2007 already has Lost Planet, Bioshock, APB, GTA4, Forza 2, GRAW 2, Blue Dragon, PGR4 (I think), maybe Banjo Kazooie (donno), HALO 3, Assasin's Creed, RE5, and god knows what else...I mean, theres only so much time, and so much cash in my wallet. I hope its delayed to 2008, I'm glad Allan Wake was.

3. PGR4 is 2008, haven't heard a word about RE5.

You were missing one big title (Mass Effect) and maybe a dark horse (Crackdown).

4. Touché, I knew something was missing, I think there's more, I'm just too lazy to research.

6. I'd like someone to point me to ANYTHING that says that Fable 2 would, might, may, etc come out before 2008. Setting deadlines on Lions Head is a dangerous habit, and I don't believe that Peter's done that this time.

7. APB and Crackdown are the same game.

8. Hah, Rich don't bite you're tongue. I agree, if Halo 3 isn't coming out until (god knows when) next year and we already have TV ads, a little something besides sketches for Fable 2 would be nice...if it in fact existed.

9. No way this is coming out 2007. They haven't even shown any ingame screens or movies and implementing the physics system now just means they are still in the early phase of development. I think we will be able to see some near-complete graphics christmas 2007 and Fable won't be seen in stores before spring 08.
