According to the official Splinter Cell: Double Agent website, a patch for the game was released yesterday, but we're receiving reports that it is not yet available. The patch was set to fix multiple issues with the game, including lag issues, connection issues, and a few miscellaneous issues. We aren't familiar with these issues (I still haven't played the game) but we can only assume the fixes would be welcome. In fact, reading through the fix list makes it look like there are quite a few problems with the lobby system.
Has anyone spotted the update yet, or is it still MIA?

I do recall there was quite a problem with lag whilst playing the multiplayer, to the point where a game became unplayable as it felt like a skipping LP. The lobby system needs more than a patch as it was just awful - I don't think you could even set up player matches and invite your friends, as I recall you simply had to play with 'Anyone' then start firing out invites at the speed of light, before the lobby filled up.
Errrmm, the machine-gun fire of the Mercs was the most annoying sound in the world, the drones were useless... actually the whole multiplayer section was quite dull.
I hope the patch includes a fix for the single player, where it swaps the 360's single player for the original Xbox's superior campaign.

Finally. I might put this back in now if the problems are fixed. The lag in multiplayer was horrible. It would just freeze for 10-30 seconds.

To fix that player match set-up: make it a private match for friends only and then send your invites. I never paid too much attention to the sound of the machine gun. I tend to be caught in the moment trying to effectively kill the spy but to fair it isn't meant to be used like a mad man either. Headshots are the way to go. You're right about those damn drones. They could use a bit of a speed boost and to they need to be less fussy about where they're suitable to be deployed.

According to the Community Manager the update has been recalled due to technical reasons.
