Major Nelson reports -- from a rest stop in Massachusetts -- that a fix has been created for those having trouble with the Fall Update. Those of you that have had no problems with the update will not be prompted to get the fix and may continue on as if nothing happened. Those of you who have had trouble should call Xbox Support. We're not really sure how you apply an update to a bricked console, but that's probably why you have to call customer support. If anyone out there manages to get this patch, leave a comment here and tell us what the process was like.

i just called xbox live support and the rep told me that the update for fall is fixed and should be good to go. WTFFF "should be"? come on, these idiots should know if their stuff is fixed or microsoft should be pulling it offline. So the question is.."is the fall update finally good to go or are we just wasting our money with xbox gold subscriptions"? Does anyone know?

What is going on at ms! i had the misfortune to want to play old xbox games on my 360, i downloaded the fall update and now my box will ONLY play xbox games - - wont have anything to do with 360 games...spits them back at me!! help...

OK, well isn't that just wonderful, it's just too bad it already killed my 360. I never even modded mine, so why am i getting punished? This is such a joke, they better be able to fix it for free!
