Catch Major Nelson on G4

We wouldn't normally suggest you watch anything on G4 (Cinematech is alright), but tonight could be something special. Tonight, Larry Hryb, Xbox Live's Major Nelson, will be featured on Attack of the Show's "The Loop" segment. The subject: microtransactions. Ooh, we smell a Lumines fight a comin'! If you'd like to watch, you can check it out at 7:00PM EDT (11:00PM GMT). Hey, it could be worse, right?

...I still hate G4 for swallowing TechTV and keeping only some twisted version of X-Play.

Yeah, and X-Play did that BEFORE. On TechTV.

And AOTS is a far less entertaining version of "The Screensavers" from the old TechTV.

I still like X-Play, but AOTS is crap. The Olivia chick is hot but she is cluess about anything video game related. When they covered E3 is was sad. She had no clue what was going on.

To all the people who still bitch about TechTV/G4...GET OVER IT.

Attack of the Show is an enjoyable show and this entry just stinks of the attitude that makes many blogs unreadable -- being negative just for the sake of being negative. You guys are better than this.

G4 is literally a steaming heap of unwatchable retardation. Adam needs to come out of the closet and someone needs to cram Morgan's ugly ass back in one - God forbid either one of them spout anything that makes sense for more than 3 consecutive minutes at a time.

I will never forgive these dirty f*@K$ for taking away Martin Sargent (although he's got some damn good podcasts out there now).

Yeah, because we all know AOTS is built entirely around video games. As for E3, she was new. Can't fault her for never covering a video game event before.

I for one like AOTS. Whoever said TSS was more entertaining is a fool. I loved TSS, but that's because I'm a major nerd. Even I'm fully aware that the show wass quite informative, but only "entertaining" in the first five minutes (by the way, Patrick Norton was on AOTS a few weeks ago). I think AOTS is very entertaining. I like the fact that, because most of it is live TV, they improvise a lot.

"Adam needs to come out of the closet..."

I know you're just ranting, but come on. The man has a girlfriend. She's not ugly either (if that's where you were going to go next).

"God forbid either one of them spout anything that makes sense for more than 3 consecutive minutes at a time."

Yes, it's their fault the writers aren't producing anything to your liking.

"I will never forgive these dirty f*@K$ for taking away Martin Sargent..."

AAAHAHAHA! Now I know you've got to be joking. First of all, Unscrewed went down the toilet because no one was watching. Second, Martin Sargent was only on-screen (aside from Unscrewed) whenever X-Play needed extras for different sketches.

I just love how people bash the two highest rated shows on G4. Some then add further ignorance by naming shows that tanked as ones that should've stayed. If AOTS and X-Play are so bad, I wonder what people's true feelings were about Unscrewed.

P.S. I've been watching that channel since it was ZDTV. So of course I laugh when people talk about how "wrong" it is that G4 is so greatly different than TechTV. TechTV did a good job of not being like ZDTV as well.

Number 10 and (because you couldn't get it all out of your system the first time)...number 11:

Stop ranting on top of my rants and come up with something original on your own. Be creative. It's fun.

And since you brought up "ignorance"...I've heard of sketch comedy and I've heard of "skits" but what the hell is a "sketch"? Oh and while we're at it: Martin was an extra on Screensavers...not Xplay.

And in case you hadn't noticed, I don't care what everyone else is watching or what their "true feelings" are of shows that I like - especially not from some old school tool like yourself who still remembers ZDTV. You're not even close to my demographic, so flame off. Sorry to offend your mad love for Adam.

That is all. Thanks-

Wow...well I won't get involved with that, but I do miss TechTV...it was nice having the "Geek" side being fulfilled as well as having the occasional "Gamer" stuff coming in, rather than just videogames 24/7. Also, I don't like Olivia either, she's just eye candy for the blind :) (don't worry I don't know what that means either)

It almost seems as if they wanted to 'dumb down' alot of TechTV for the MTV generation (of which I am apart of), toss in some videogames and the end product is G4. Oh well.
