Rumor: Free Game with 360 starts today

Video Game Jocks is reporting that Microsoft will begin giving away a free game with the purchase of a new Xbox 360. The promotion applies to either a Core or Premium console. The available games are: Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power, Perfect Dark Zero or Dead or Alive 4. Supposedly the deal begins today and runs through September 22nd.

For now, take this with a grain of salt, as the article fails to link any source information whatsoever. If anyone can find the actual announcement, hit us up with a tip and see your name inside pretty brackets.

Only if you're Canadian/Mexican, and only if the game you want is PGR3.

Fry's electronics has been bundling Ridge Racer with the Premium package for close to two months. This is pretty normal for them to roll their own offering.

A forum member claiming to be a New Jersey Best Buy employee posted on the official Xbox.com forums, spilling information he has received on the provosion of Xbox 360 Premium packs. Apparently, at the start of April, Premium packs will start shipping with 5x the HDD size of their predecessors. Cool for those who are about to buy a 360; very uncool for those who already picked theirs up.
