The above is a snippet from Computer and Videogames' latest preview of Assassin's Creed. In case you haven't made the connection yet, this more or less confirms the constantly shuffling status of the once almighty PS3 exclusive. That is to say, it's hitting both PS3 and 360, which almost everybody expected anyway. Now, lest this was merely a typo on the part of some poor soul at Computer and Videogames, I will sit here and wait to be shot down by Ubisoft.
The rest of you can dance in the streets.

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't eventually make it to the 360.Exclusive titles for the next gen gaming machines will be less and less and you'll see more and more multi platform games. So i wouldn't be surprised if games like GoW eventually show up on the ps3.

I'd be real suprised if GoW ever came to anyting but 360. If it ever did go multi-platform it would be on vista, and I don't think that will happen until a year or two after it's released.

Of course Assassin's Creed is on the Xbox 360, and its online functions will be far superior to the Playstation 3.
Just look at all of the Playstation 3 games that have been either cancelled or severely delayed. Playstation 3 has very few third party games. There are so many games that were originally supposed to be exclusive for the Playstation 3, but now they are also on the Xbox 360--and they are BETTER on the Xbox 360!!! Some of the games I am talking about are Fight Night Round 3, The Darkness, Unreal Tournament 2007, Devil May Cry 4, Silent Hill 5, Grand Theft Auto 4, Resident Evil 5, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007. Some of those games have even been cancelled for the Playstation 3 or are out NOW on the Xbox 360!

I wouldn't be overly surprised if this game didn't make it out on the PS3 at all. Not only is the developement cost outrageous, but the over hype for the new system is low, and Sony has done everything in its power to come in 3rd this next gen race. The risk in making a PS3 game (especially exclusive) is tremendous and clearly not worth it, as many PS3 games are getting canned. I am not saying I think this will happen, only that it wouldn't surprise me.

This an exact carbon copy of all the PS3 previews lying around (same screens even), and where's the proof that it was running on a 360? Ubisoft has been denying a 360 version for months, yet they'll let a website have a look at it? I'm sure there's a 360 version in development, but I have my doubts about this article's reliability.

Sony needs this nugget for the ps3, they need rpgs to hit for the holiday or for Q1 of 2007. I would expect to see multiplatform but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't launch at once... but would be interesting to see if they did launch for both consoles over the holiday. Might be the first time we could really test these two consoles side by side.
The console war won't begin to take shape until Q1 of 07 one way or another though, after Sony gets past their launch and onto the next wave of games.

There was an article on Gamesindustry.biz this week with a dude from Ubisoft saying that Ubisofts goal is to be the #2 Gaming company behind EA's #1 spot. A goal like that can only be achieved by making your games so they play on as many platforms as possible.
This game was shown on a 360 at E3...the 360 / PC is probably it's main development platform. No surprise here. Ubisoft has done some interesting things with Multi-Player. I hope this game has some new innovation in that regard.

Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as exclusive titles and games that sell really well, now the only games that Sony really has are God of War, Shadow of the Collosus, Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid?

Smartrix... that really sell well yes... and with God of War 2 on the PS2 not the ps3 that kind of kills things even further
I knew AC was coming to the 360 due to all the hype and "no comment" responses... I'm just glad its confirmed and as was said i wouldnt doubt it if the 360/pc is the priumary development platform

I knew this was eventually going to happen. All the rumors pretty much lead to it. Also, if it wasn't coming out, the company would of strait up said so instead of saying "No Comment", which usually shows the company is hiding something.
But this looks to be a really good game, can't wait to play it. The graphics look really good too :).
Also, I noticed one thing, PS3 games have been dropping like flies. Several canceled games (latest being WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (Not a wrestling fan BTW)), and exclusives being lost, it looks like things for the PS3 are growing more grim each day. I guess why this is happening is two reasons, the cost of development on PS3, which is extremely high, and the extreme difficulty of developing code on the Cell processor.
