Moore: 360 controls a Wii bit complicated

Peter Moore, Microsoft cheerleader and spinmeister, recently sat down with Gamertag Radio and discussed today's complicated controls. While he did say that the novelty of the Wii may wear off after half an hour, he also admitted that today's control schemes are too complicated for some -- including his 14-year-old daughter. The big question is: does Microsoft have newer, simpler, friendlier, and gentler controls on the way? According to Peter:

"We're doing a lot of stuff there. Nothing that we're ready to talk about, and we're not going to force anything that is not going to be intuitive and innovative."

I think Moore is likely talking about 360's upcoming Vision camera, but the idea of an Xbox ThWiimote is intriguing.

Anybody have a chance to listen to the whole interview?

Richard, we need to get you a better paint program. Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro are expensive though.

How about the Open Source Paint.Net?

I'm sure there are others as well.

Unfortunately, I can't use *any* decent programs at work. Ironically, that is where I do most of my posting, and the Evil Office Web Filter (tm) won't let me access anything other than what's already on my computer.

Don't worry, I don't get artistic urges *too* often.

Of course they were gonna run into problems. Count how many action buttons are on the Wiimote.

Looks like this console is gonna require extra investment in controllers to accomodate all past, present and future gen games.

Now, how the heck am I gonna play FIFA 07 on this darn thing?

Are individuals really phased by having to press seperate buttons to perform an activity?

Sorry to generalize, but I've noticed that 14 year old girls don't seem to have any issues figuring out how to use their cellphones...
