The details provided in the interview don't address the question entirely, but we do know that the first DLC pack will cost 320MSpts and will feature two new arenas & three new cars. Here's where the uncertainty comes in: does this mean the DLC is already done before the game ever launches? We're not big fans of that sort of thing if true, but given that this is an XBLA game there could be a number of reasons for it. The most likely would be limited storage size, the other would be desire to keep the entry price lower. Oh well, we'll probably never know anyway.

Vigilante 8 price is set, DLC already set, date not set
Hmm ... this news is something that we're a bit unsure about. Over at IGN there's an interview with the devs of Vigilante 8 Arcade about the game's details and its dev process. And while it's a good read and did tell us that the game would be hitting at a ten dollar price point (800MSpts), it also informed us of the fact the Isopod labs already has their DLC well in hand.

V8 Arcade near completion, will have DLC
After the new shots of the game that appeared lat week, Vigilante 8 Arcade was looking quite finished. In a dev update on their website, it was revealed that the game is in pre-certification and that the devs are expecting an early June release date, but that the final date will be up to Microsoft. Also, while there were no details at all given, it was confirmed that V8 Arcade will have some form of DLC in it's future. Given the type of game that this is it's almost a guarantee that the Marketplace will play host to new characters and cars, allowing for even more vehicular insanity.Vigilante 8 Meteor screenshots crash land

Boogie and Chassey Blue added to V8 Arcade
For what we believe to be nostalgic reasons, we simply can't get enough Vigilante 8 Arcade information, details or media. So, upon coming across confirmation that our pals Boogie (in his tricked out Leprechaun) and Chassey Blue (in her destructive yet feminine Piranha), we got a little excited and felt the need to share. And we're confident that after giving the vehicle previews a view (in the gallery below), you'll either start crushing on Chassey or be jealous of Boogie's mad-cool 70's style. We can't wait, bring on the V8 and bring on the destruction already!V8 Arcade nears completion and we have screens

Over on V8 Arcade's official home, the Isopod Labs crew has been keeping a consistent stream of new media and updates flowing including a handful of screenshots which we've placed in our gallery below. Isopod also posted a little fanmail session where they confirmed that they're at a 9 on the universal 1 through 10 development scale of completion as the game should release sometime this Spring. Oh, and advice for Isopod Labs. Bring back the banned N64 V8 commercial, because we're suckers for cheezy bleeped out "holy sh*t!" moments.
[Thanks, Alan Thomas]
