Gametrailers posted a four part series detailing all aspects of Radical Entertainment's Prototype and even included some new gameplay footage to boot. The first of four videos (embedded above) showcases some of main character Alex's abilities, how he uses his shape shifting abilities to kill and what destruction can be dished out. In the other three Prototype videos (viewable after the break) you'll hear the dev team talk about the game's Artistic Vision, Environmental Interaction and the Story of Alex Mercer. An XBLA Twofer: Elements of Destruction and Sea Life Safari

Frozen Codebase's 800 Microsoft point Elements of Destruction is a destruction sim, where your goal is to destroy, blow up and "kablam!" as many things as possible. With two player online and local multiplayer, versus or cooperative and the feeling of having god-like powers, Elements of Destruction may be something to check out.
The other XBLA release this week is Wanako's Sea Life Safari (also 800 MS points) where the goal is to explore the ocean and take pictures of underwater creatures. No joke. Now, we aren't going to pre-judge Sea Life Safari (though we really, really want to), but we have a feeling that a sea creature photography game is a very niche gaming experience. Anyhoo, check out all the new XBLA screenshot goodness in the galleries below.
Blood on the Sand: the Burnout of shooters
In an interview with Xbox World 360 magazine (as reported by OXM UK), the producer of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, Julian Waddows, stated that he hopes Fiddy's new game will do for shooters what Burnout did for the racing genre. He adds further that he wants the game to do, "What Diablo did for RPGs. We wanted to take all that makes the genre fun and exaggerate it." An over-the-top, exaggerated shooter? Oh no, that's never been done before. Seriously though, we kid Blood on the Sand. After all, we certainly wouldn't wish any game to be bad. In theory, there's nothing wrong with Waddows hopes. We just hope that his hopes come to fruition. Otherwise, we'll probably just lose hope altogether.
Editor's note: Since we're on the subject, let's get someone started on porting Diablo II to XBLA, mkay?

Fiddy's friend says Blood on the Sand "as good as Gears of War"
This should allay everyone's fears about 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. According to TeamXbox, a member of 50 Cent's G-Unit crew, Tony Yayo, has been quoted as saying that Blood on the Sand is "looking as good as Gears of War." Lofty words to be sure. Of course, given the source, we're a little skeptical. Fortunately, Yayo doesn't seem to be the only one impressed with the game, as TeamXbox also reports that Epic's own Mark Rein told CVG he was "blown away" by the game last year. In fact, even our own Terrence Stasse managed to enjoy the game during a recent Sierra event.
Who knows, maybe Blood on the Sand will make us all forget about Bulletproof (or die tryin').

Roogoo and Aces of the Galaxy to XBLA this week

Roogoo, the too cute puzzle game will be available for 800 Microsoft points and feature 45 levels, multiplayer over Live and locally as well as plenty of evil Meemoos. The other half of this week's twofer, Aces of the Galaxy will also be available for 800 MS points and is an old-school space shooter featuring online and local co-op play as well as visuals that can be best described as "pretty pretty". Screenshots are below for your viewing enjoyment.
Aces of the Galaxy hitting XBLA next week
It seems it's been a trend lately for XBLA games to release in pairs and while we were a bit less than thrilled with this week's releases, next week does look better. In addition to Roogoo, June 4 will also see the release of the co-op space shooter Aces of the Galaxy. Little to nothing has been revealed about the game so far but XBLA thankfully gives us trial versions, and the graphics and co-op play give us more than enough reason to give it try. From what we can infer the game could be worth its 800pt price tag, we just wish Artech had gotten more out there about it.
Free TimeShift DLC shifts to not free
Remember that free TimeShift DLC that dropped earlier this week? We hope you snapped it up quick, because it looks like it wasn't supposed to be free. It seems some Xbox Live Marketplace ninjas have infiltrated Microsoft HQ and changed the price of "Urban Redual" to 800 MS Points. The other piece of DLC "Futures-Past," however, remains free. We're not quite sure what happened, but it's clear that there was a mix-up somewhere. Whether or not time powers were involved has yet to be confirmed. Whether or not "takesies-backsies" was declared is also unconfirmed at this time.
TimeShift DLC adds more achievement love
Today, a second piece of downloadable content goodness has graced TimeShift, bringing with it an extra dose of achievement love as well.Available for download for the gotta have it price of FREE are two TimeShift DLC packs called "Futures-Past" and the newly released "Urban ReDuel". And with the DLC release, TimShift received a Gamerscore bump up to 1250, adding an additional ten DLC based achievements each worth 25 Gamerscore. To recap. Free DLC, more achievements and a possible 250 Gamerscore increase. We can't complain too much.
Assault Heroes 2 assaults the XBLA this week
Is should come as no surprise that this Wednesday, May 14th, Sierra's Assault Heroes 2 will make its release to the Xbox Live Arcade to the joy of arcade gamers worldwide. This 800 Microsoft point sequel builds upon the original Assault Heroes formula by making battles more intense, adding new weaponry, making vehicles hijackable and, of course, co-op gaming. Get excited, because lots of "boom!", "kablaam!" and "sizzle!" is headed to the XBLA this week.
XBLA Achievement Smorgasbord
After the XBLA drought last week, we're now getting hit by a relative flood of new things. First are a few new achievement lists, which include some games that have fallen off the radar a bit. Remember Aces of the Galaxy? We barely did either. The 3D space shooter was originally set to release last fall, and it looks as though Microsoft is finally readying it for release. How about Elements of Destruction? Remember that one? It gives you control over the forces of nature and allows you to use them to wreak havoc. Now Sealife Safari should be familiar enough to resonate, as we did a preview of the on-rails photography game recently. The full lists can be found after the break.

X3F TV -- X3F Impressions: Bourne Conspiracy Demo
A few hours ago, Xbox Live Marketplace was treated to an early demo of The Bourne Conspiracy, the High Moon Studios developed title based on the best-selling novels by Robert Ludlum. We thought this was a great time to debut a feature X3F readers have asked us for in the past, video impressions of demos for retail Xbox 360 games.
Ordinarily we have a catchy (or what we think is catchy) name for our video features, but this time we drew a blank. Have an idea for what this feature should be called? Drop your name idea in the comments and tell us what you think of The Bourne Conspiracy demo yourself.
