Hey fanboys, after the incredibly hectic week that was E3, we've decided to take a break from the Fancast this week. We won't be canceling an announcement or anything, and this is definitely not a hoax. It's the real deal. No Fancast. Sorry. We're all exhausted from E3 and truth be told, our fearless leader (hey, that's me!) is on vacation. We'll be back next week with episode 077 and our wrap-up of E3 (and any other OMG megatons that happen to drop between now and then). See you soon.

Xbox 360 Fancast E3 08 Special: Day 0

Here it is fanboys. E3 hasn't even officially started yet, and already we're running ourselves ragged and staying up into the wee hours of the morning (it's just after 4:00 in the morning in Los Angeles as of this posting ... eesh). Here is the first of our E3 Special Fancasts. We'll be dropping a new one every day during E3 this week, so keep your eyes open for Day 1 tomorrow. We won't be offering these as enhanced podcasts, by the way, as we're putting them together as quickly as possible for everyone. This is it folks. E3 is only a week away. With so little time left, we thought it was best to dedicate this episode to our E3 predictions and to our plans for the event. Bungie's next game "totally different"

It looks like Bungie took notes on the subject of hype while under the massive money-lined wing of Microsoft. On the latest installment of the Bungie Podcast regulars Frank O'Connor, Luke Smith and Brian Jarrard were joined by Christian Allen, former Ghost Recon 2 creative director, and teased listeners with the studio's newest project. Brian "Sketch" Jerrard confirmed that at least some of the staff are working on a new title and not Halo 3 downloadable content or an expansion. Jarrad specifically states the next game for Bungie is not Halo 3 related, but could it be related to the Peter Jackson project? It seems unlikely as Jarrard calls the new project, "totally different" and talks up what he's been able to see thus far. While Bungie makes everyone guess, we'd like to go on record and wager Bungie's next game is going to be a sequel of another popular Xbox title, Barbie's Horse Adventure 2: Horse Whisperin'.

We're going to be honest with you fanboys. It's been a long day. As such, the Fancast is arriving a little later than we would have liked. Rest assured though, we had good reason. What reason could that be, you ask? Why, so we could bring you a brand new enhanced podcast, that's why! Now, before you whoop, holler, and jump for joy, you should know that said enhanced podcast has not yet been set up with its own RSS feed just yet. After all, we wouldn't want our subscribers with unsupported hardware to be left out in the cold. As such, it's only available as a direct download this week. We're doing our best to get a new feed set up, but it could be a while. Still, however you choose to listen, make sure you do, because this week's show is a doozy. Can you believe it? 35 magical episodes of the Xbox 360 Fancast. We'll save the schmaltzy flashbacks for another time though, because this week it's serious business. Oh yes, tonight is the launch of Halo 3 and it's episode 35. You can bet your booties we have a special guest, and... um ... we do, so hand over your booties if you didn't believe us. To celebrate the magnificent arrival of Halo 3, we invited a very special guest, Geoff Ramsey from Rooster Teeth Productions. Best known as Griff from the Halo machinema series Red Vs. Blue, Geoff helps us discuss the merits of achievement boosting, what's happening at Rooster Teeth, and, of course, Halo 3. Together, we create a Fancast the likes of which the universe has never seen. Let us hope that the bounds of our natural laws can contain it. Xbox 360 Fancast 033 -- "Fanboys" No More

The Xbox 360 Fancast keeps on rocking and rolling towards a new era, an era where fanboys of all stripes can live in peace. This week we talk about the Time article on Halo 3 that received a lot of (unwarranted) complaints last week, the Call of Duty 4 beta, luscious Team Fortress 2 action, and the mind-melting insanity that is Silent Hill V. After the break we voice our opinions on the Xbox 360 repair process and take some time to address fanboyism. Be sure that there is a sharp distinction between a fanboy and fanboyism. A fanboy -- by our definition anyway -- celebrates gaming on all levels, though he or she may lean towards console or another. One who practices fanboyism, well, they're the kind of people you avoid in the dark recesses of the internet (of which there are many).
