Shivering Isles may be feeling buggy

Oblivion's first expansion Shivering Isles may be suffering from a bad case of the bugs. Over at the UESPWiki they've outlined a potentially crippling bug confirmed in the PC version of Shivering Isles that may also affect the 360 expansion. The bug revolves around the amount of identification numbers for in game objects exhausting causing newly created objects to disappear. And since this bug is based on the amount of time played and the FPS, the Xbox 360 version would produce the bug around 150 hours of gameplay. The Elder Scrolls community found what caused the problem and created a patch for the game, but Bethesda has yet to release anything official on the PC or 360 side of things. Though, there are a few work-arounds for each version listed in the wiki. So, have you played over 150 hours of Oblivion with Shivering Isles downloaded and if so, are you experiencing any wackiness?

Crackdown: Climb the Agency Tower ... in a SUV?

Climbing the Agency Tower in Crackdown can be difficult, especially if you miss a jump and fall hundreds of feet to your sure death. But what if you could safely drive up the tower, you know, plop your four tires on the building's exterior and Spider Man your way up to the top. Well, it looks like it is possible as 007craft discovered a bug where he can climb the Agency Tower with his SUV. Check out his video above to see how he accomplished this amazing feat, but be sure to note that you'll need a four star driver rating to replicate it. If you've found a cool Crackdown exploit or bug and wish to share, feel free to send us a tip ... we have a soft spot for Crackdown bugs.

Bungie secret code or bungled codec?

Look everybody! It's a super-secret message from Bungie...disguised as a Dashboard update bug. I don't speak German, so I'll let reader Papa Moll explain:

After the spring dashboard update the halo 3 trailer shows an strange artifact. a lot of users out there think it is a new message from bungie but they are all wrong! the same artifact happens on winxp running the bungie video in windows media player. it looks like Microsoft has implemented the actual winxp wmp codecs into the spring update. The guys over at xbox-lan.com asked their contact a microsoft a few days ago if thats correct and got the information that "The WMP Team is on it...."  but nothing more. So this is not a Bungie message, its a codec message.

And I was sure they were trying to tell me something. This reminds me of the people who see the Virgin Mary on a piece of burnt toast.
