A military man to the bone, Hoffman believes that the COG soldiers should maintain disciple and must sacrifice everything around them to achieve success.

It was Hoffman's testimony that sentenced Marcus Fenix to prison for 40 years but, proving the chain of command runs through any situation, promoted Fenix to Sergeant out of necessity.

The only question remains, can Hoffman put aside his animosity for Fenix and rely on Delta Squad in the latest fight for survival?
