A little something <strike>old</strike> not so old -- a demofor EA's FIFA World Cup 06 soccer game, which launched alongside the system in November -- and a littlesomething new -- a demo for 2K Sports' tennis-sim Top Spin 2, which came out late last month. If you're getting a sense of digitaldeja vu, it might be because FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup launched along side the 360 a scant four monthsago to middling reviews. This gameis supposed to have more stadiums, better animations and a "Best World Cup moments" mode. We'll see iffive extra months in EA Canada's backfield results in a world class Cup, or just another kick in the balls fornext-gen soccer fans.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

FIFA Demo now on Live Marketplace

Filed under: News, FIFA Soccer 06
The latest addition to the line-up of demos on the Xbox Live Marketplace is FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup, allowing you to sample some simulated football (or soccer, depending on which side of the Atlantic you prefer). Demos are a great way to experience games for yourself, without the expense of buying magazines, and more launch titles should be coming to the Marketplace in demo form soon; currently, only Kameo, Madden NFL 06, Need for Speed and NBA Live 06 are available.

Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

What's your gamertag?

Filed under: News, Amped 3, Call of Duty 2, Condemned, GUN, Kameo, Madden NFL 06, NBA 2K6, NHL 2K6, Perfect Dark, Project Gotham Racing 3, Quake 4, Ridge Racer 6, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, FIFA Soccer 06, King Kong, NBA Live 06, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06
It's time for the fanboys to unite. As we've been hearing over the past 24 hours, many of our usual online friends were not able to secure Xbox 360s yesterday. So, it's time to make some new friends (besides, the guys over at Joystiq won't accept our friend requests).

Continuing its long history (3 days now) of bringing gamers together, Xbox 360 Fanboy is providing some bandwidth for you to add your Xbox live gamertag, your zone and your list of 360 games to the comments below.

We'll go first:

Gamertag: Master Rogue (yes, it's lame. So, no need to waste valuable gaming time commenting on the obvious).

Zone: Underground

X360 Games: Quake 4, PGR 3, King Kong, Tiger Woods 2006, PDZ, Call of Duty 2, Condemed, Kameo

Permalink | Email this | Comments

Manual scans to wet your lips

Filed under: News, Condemned, Project Gotham Racing 3, FIFA Soccer 06
GameInsider has gone to all the trouble to scan and host manuals for some upcoming titles. The selection includes Condemned: Criminal Origins, FIFA 2006, and Project Gotham Racing 3.
