We've known it for quite a while already, but team Microsoft just officially announced that this Wednesday, September 24th, the Duke will be making his way to the Xbox Live Arcade with the release of Duke Nukem 3D. Huzzah!
For only 800 Microsoft points (no longer rumored), you'll be able to grab a copy of Duke Nukem 3D and re-live all your Duke destruction memories with over 39 levels of mayhem, an eight player co-op / versus multiplayer, saved films, a new rewind feature and even an unlockable art gallery. It's Duke Nukem. On the XBLA. This Wednesday. Kick a**!

It'll be interesting to see how this game holds up over 10+ years. I can see co-op being hilarious.

SWEET! Now I will utter the famous, if not over quoted... quote. It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of gum!
There, I did it, I'm a tool.

You know that and every other quote in that game are stolen from movies. I hate that that line is quoted over and over again for this game. It's from John Carpenter's movie They Live. Rowdy Roddy Pipper said it.

They Live was an awesome movie, but I think Duke gets the credit only because more people know it from there.
Thats what happens withe Music at least.

Man I used to play this game so much.. The addiction is back. All that it will be missing is user created maps.

I'm disappointed that the game seems to not run in 720p widescreen resolution, I mean I hate the fact that the game has those lame sidebars. (no I didn't expect the graphics to look better than they did back in the day)

Awesome, 39 levels means the XBLA version also contains the Plutonium Pak. I was wondering about that.

I spent countless months tying up the phone line playing over a 28.8 modem. Now I can do it with 8 other people. Awesome.

Yeah, I remember rockin this out modem to modem. Now just bring on ROTT (Rise of the Triad). I know some of you old schoolers know that little gem. That truly was the first online game (modem to modem) I ever played.

ROTT was awesome, that would definitely be worth a buy on 360...remember the crazy secret room with the flashing symbols all over the walls? I thought it was a debug room that would make my game crash when I was a kid. :P
For Duke3D however...day one purchase. I just gotta shrink people online, it's mandatory.

how can duke survive multiplayer without all the old maps like Lockdown and Stealth. I would have this game now for my 360 if i could dig up the old maps and upload them but see no reason to bother otherwise.
