Previously, it was rumored that Rock Band would never release in Australia due retailers showing support for the Guitar Hero franchise and having limited shelf space for product. But, it just isn't so and our Aussie friends will get to rock out later this Fall, a full year later than everyone else and while North Americans are jamming to the game's sequel. Uhhh ... just be happy!

And just to reiterate, that's the instruments AND the game for AUD$250 (£115 / $210). They may have had a long wait, but at least they get ripped off marginally less than us Brits.

Ill buy the game... if it works with the g hero world tour instruments. This really says a lot of what harmonix thinks of Australian consumers. Or maybe they think we are all to busy wrestling crocodiles.

New Zealand is getting it on the 31st of October. I thought Australia wasn't getting Rock Band at all?
I'm probably going to import the Ion Drum Kit and a wireless RB2 Guitar, along with RB2.
