If it wasn't for those Microsoft PR wranglers, Peter Molyneux would sing like a blue-jay regarding upcoming Lionhead projects. But that's in a perfect world, darn those PR wranglers. Though, Molyneux isn't gagged completely as Eurogamer found out after probing Molyneux about his interest in MMOs.When asked about his interest in MMOs, Peter Molyneux gestured over to his PR wrangler saying that "there's someone in this room to make sure that I don't say too much about that question", but did confirm his interests in the genre saying that "I have been looking at MMOs". He continued, "I love the interaction, and I'm fascinated by the idea of really feeling secure and cool enough to actually do it." Just then, as juicy Lionhead MMO information was about to roll from his lips, Peter was silenced by his wrangler. If you ask us, a Lionhead developed MMO sounds delicious.

The "friends running around as blue orbs" feature in Fable 2 had me wondering if they were looking into MMO stuff.

Booo, Im sorry but MMO's are stupid.
Also, I think it would be cool to have a PR wrangler following me around not letting me talk about trade secrets.

I can't imagine someone thinking this game is ugly, but what else can be said about that.

Have you played Fable? The Movies? Black and White?
I think he can do any type of game he wants, and a nobody like you has no say in that whatsoever.
Why dont you get off of forums if you are going to instult- and say things that are untrue.

Taste is subjective, and no amount of brow-beating will change that.

That was harsh but totally true.. Peter has made some of the most cherished games.

Ouch. Honestly, Fable was pretty bad imo. The Movies had a good concept, but you saw everything in an hour or two: it got old fast. I have not played Black and White.
Fable 2 looks pretty bad to me. Combat looks like button mashing, graphics look horrible, and overall: it looks boring. Combat is one button, and id give a shit about taking care of a wife or a dog. He has so many chances to make a good game too...

I like the idea that they have someone whose job description is to stop Molyneux spilling beans about his games.

Looks like he's been wanting to do this since the begining of time with his moral choices and character creations.

Every time I read MMO, I keep thinking of a Simpsons episode where they turn on the radio to hear Moe singing:
Moe, Moe, Moe...
How do you like me?
How do you like me?
Moe, Moe, Moe...
Nobody likes me.
Why don't you like me?

Oh god, more timesinks. Between KOTOR MMO and (possible) Lionhead MMO I'm never going to finish my time-travelling machine! And I bet they'll be so awesome they'll be impossible to resist :(

By the time a Lion Head MMO hits the 360, I suspect the scene will already be way to crowded. But I do believe that PM could make a damn good one. At the same time though... I'd like to see him create a completely new universe, outside of fable's Tolken/english country side/European style world, if he did create an MMO.

I have to say... this E3 seems to prove that there is a new business model in the videogame industry. The big hitters are not shown in order to protect whatever it is they are developing from someone else stealing their ideas and implementing in their games in the future. Keep shit under wraps until the last moment possible, flood the industry with hype, and release a pos product.

This winter will prove either way..
That said I agree with what you, PR plays a much larger role in the videogame industry these days. For shame.
