Its a shame they didn't pull this game launch off correctly. DiRT was a great game, and running on the same engine it seems like they should have been able to do this without problem or caught it in testing.

Good to hear. I love both racing series but Forza would definitely be my pick if I had the choice between them. Then again, I have yet to play Prologue or GT5...

Woot! Only have to buy one game this week after all; my wallet thanks you Codemasters! I'll pick it up as soon as it's patched.

I guess it's a good thing I have a backlog of over a month of games before I even think of picking up GRID. Oh well.

I was hearing about this but I hoped it was unfounded. Anyway I couldn't pick up a copy today because apparently today is the ship date and won't arrive in retail till tomorrow along side with Ninja Gaiden II. Only Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda were available at all the stores I went to including Circuit City, GameStop and Best Buy.

Actually I only went to those 3 stores in person assuming everything was out since it is as I call "media day".
But maybe its a Central Pennsylvania thing but I called the rest of the remaining GameStop / EB Games / Babbage's in the area and no where had it and by that I do not mean it sold out.
I couldn't find GRID, Ninja Gaiden II or Bourne Conspiracy at Circuit City, GameStop, Best Buy plus any other random GameStop franchisee store. This is in a 100 mile radius of Harrisburg, PA.
I even checked my home address of NJ using In-store locator of Best Buy and couldn't find those 3 games in any of those stores in a 100 mile radius of my Jersey residence.

well i think its probably bc he has a modded 360 and this is appearently a downloaded copy of GRID bc if anyone else notices, its not out yet anywhere. so, if its retail how the hell did he get it? of course its going to be buggy if you are cheap and download it and burn it to disc and steal the game instead of buying it. i mean when nowhere has it how can so many people have issues with it? i mean seriously.

Technically speaking some parts of the US probably already have of this week's release. Plus I think the UK got GRID a week before its US release.

erm...what the hell has a modded xbox got anything to do with? You obviously don't know anything about that scene so don't make speculation as most copies come from original discs once they're gold.
Anyhows, Yeah, Europe (that place over the ocean with 48 countries) has it and it region free so anyone anywhere with a 360 can have it.

ummm the plague of modern console gaming, too many SKUs, more complex software and OSs. As a software developer I think the game developers are struggling with the complexity of the machines, too many SKUs and more complex and OSs
The Grid demo crashed on my PS3 (and the first time the digital audio output remained playing annoying noise), but it was a demo with no final code anyways so I forgave them.
I think that even games with semi-open betas are delivered with big problems. Do anyone know if MS or Sony provide testing laboratories where developers can test with multiple configurations?, if not, they must start thinking on that

bootleg maybe you should call gamestop and toysrus again bc they didnt get the games til around 3pm. so if you went before then thats why you dont have them. if you dont believe me lok me up on live. my gamertag is badboy269. i mean why would i lie about it when i spent like 130 on two games and have them in my hand?

Nah man I wasn't saying you were lying. I was simply stating that as of 1 pm EST I was unable to find those 3 games anywhere in the Central Pennsylvania area. And your probably right they are most likely available in major cities.

bootleg, i live in atlanta and if we dont have grid here i seriously doubt most places have it unless youre in maybe ny, la or miami or some bigger city. ive looked online before and most of the time the bigger cities get games before other places bc they know theyll sell

The reason it freezes is because hes playing it on a PS3. If you look at the video again you'll notice the ps3 console in the bottom middle of the screen. PS3 has always been plagued with software problems. As for tony's comment NO this is not a modded Xbox since the games hasn't been released at "stores yet" many others have already gotten the game early through inside sources or dumasses that work at walmart and sell the game early.

lol... PC games are much buggier than this.
Age Of Conan for PC - three days following release, the servers were down each night for an update. The only difference is PC patches can be released quicker than console patches.
On the plus side, I've had none of these problems, so it seems to be isolated to specific units (I have a 65nm Falcon Elite)
