For those of you patient enough to wait, Major Nelson tipped gamers off to news that the Ninja Gaiden II demo should be hitting Xbox Live Marketplace by the end of next week. "Looking for the NG 2 Demo? I am told that it will be available by the end of next week," reads Major's Twitter page.
The demo, which was released today on the Japanese Marketplace, features
Until then make sure to check out X3F TV where we dissect, no pun intended, the demo for the anticipated action title.
Update: The demo is actually the same as the Japanese release and features only one section, not two levels.

Two levels? Did they combine them? Seemed like one level to me.
Managed to snag a copy of it really decent, no idea why it's being marked down for camera or difficulty. I know it's just a demo but it was easier than NG and the camera was improved. Can't wait for friday.

Honestly...by the time the demo is out we will be playing the full version....the purpose of the demo is that so we can try out the game before we make the purchase....from what I see 360 is not making that much out of japanese market and yet they give the demo to them...makes no sense to me honestly.

I totally agree with you. I will never understand why demos are released after the game hit retail

The way I see it, it makes more sense to release the demo after the game comes out. If someone downloads and plays a demo before it comes out they may go "That was pretty fun, I think I'll go pick that up." If they go out and try to find the game and it's not out yet they may forget about it.

actually it just features one section of a level, 20 minutes long on average, 4 maxed out weapons. lunar, ds, claws and scythe. no boss.
you can get it off the japanese market place if you make a japanese account.
it's an alright demo, you just feel too powerful on easy and it gets boring fast because of that.
the enemies are fierce and the combat is pretty sweet when you can see what ryu is doing on screen that is.
i had no real troubles with the camera. it's the same as black, you can even make the camera control a bit faster for the Rstick.
i'd say the only disappointment is the blood effects hovering above the surface. it looks odd but you can hardly pay attention with the action at hand. i also was hoping for more interactive/destructible environments, and from what i've seen from footage later on in the game this does not change.

I think it's now being IP locked, meaning if you don't have an IP address that originates from Japan you won't be able to download it.

When I got on my Japanese account it said the download was for Gold members only. Im not about to pay for access to a once in a blue moon download. Didnt mention anything about region locking.

I know you probly won't respond to this, stupid x3fanboy design. but you can get a free month up to 3 times on any new account you create on your 360. i did mine last week and it gave me one month of gold and i was able to DL it this week.
