Chatting with GamesIndustry.biz, Moore revealed that he "thoroughly enjoyed working" on the Xbox team and even admitted that, when in the final decisive hour, "it broke my heart leaving Microsoft." Awww, so cute. Moore went on to explain that he had "a real yearning for getting back to what we as Brits living in America call home, which is the San Francisco Bay area" and that need ultimately proved the reason why he took the job over at EA Sports. "You get to the point in your life where you say, do I live where I work, or do I work where I live? For me, I would rather live in the Bay area - nothing against Seattle - and there's only really one job I would have taken to leave Xbox and that's president of EA Sports."

Hopefully he can pull some heads out of asses throughout the culture of EA, but at the least, we'll have a higher concentration on quality control at EA with Moore at the helm of the sports div.

I was only a couple months into the Xbox when I learned about him. Seems like nice guy.
I also thought he was a really good speech giver from the E3 07.

And that 1 billion dollars he cost Msoft--by approving the Xbox with the RRoD design flaw--didn't have anything to do with it. It was so he could ride the cable cars.

San Francisco seems to be the place to move to these days, for everything from jobs in the game industry, to jobs in the IT industry. Not that the Seattle area isn't equally as thriving, but something about San Francisco seems to have more appeal for some reason. Seems to be more fun.
I'm sure the money hats had nothing to do with his decision. (Not that I could blame him if they did. Man's gotta eat....on his 100 foot yacht)

Microsoft should considering renting him from EA just to do some keynotes... I'm sure his replacement isn't willing to get tattoos to announce games, and I'd like do see him single-handedly reveal a new SKU to an audience (though I could be prove wrong... I guess we'll have to wait till July to find out!).
