If you had to take a guess, how high would you say
Grand Theft Auto IV's development budget went? We'll wait for your answer ... Have a guess? Good. Now this is where we tell you that
GTAIV's producer Leslie Benzies "hazards a guess" that
GTAIV took around $100 million to create. A number that, if true, would make it the most expensive game to develop ever beating out longtime record holder
Shenmue which rang up a $70 million development bill back in the Dreamcast days. But don't feel bad for team Rockstar and their (potential) $100 million
GTAIV development debt, because it's 98.5% certain that they already made their money back plus a hefty profit. Liberty City works money magic.

Why is no one on the Xbox 360 Fanboy, PS3 Fanboy, or Joystiq staffs writing about the fact that the Rockstar Social Club is still down? No one wants to contact Rockstar for comment?

A friend of mine said just told me he got on there with no problems whatsoever, too.
Hmmm...I'd better start clearing my browser's cache and temp files and see if I can figure out what's up.

That's because hardly anyone actually owns a PS3, and those that do bought it for the blu-ray player and don't even know what GTA is.

I have had only one, well two, problems with the social club. Occassionally I need to close my browser completely (I use Avant, better than IE of firefox, really) and re-open the social club and I am good to go, with access to it all. The other problem is that I cannot get my music uploaded from the game, the clips I mean. Oh well. All in time I guess.

Am I the only one who thinks the cost is kinda low?
Crackdown cost $50 Million and the world is not nearly as complex as Liberty City.
On top of that GTA IV is multi-platform.

Don't forget that the Shenmue budget from 1999 would actually be worth almost $90 million today...

didn't Microsoft pay $50 million for the exclusive content, so in fact, they have financed half of the game, or? Sony should thank them big ... hahaha
