We have eleven words for you. Audiosurf is coming to the the Xbox Live Arcade, w00t, w00t! Now stand up and do a celebratory dance.
According to a GamesTM Magazine article on the hit game Audiosurf, it mentions that the game "released via Steam to PC users and soon to Xbox Live Arcade." Double w00t! If you aren't familiar, Audiosurf is a pretty well received music inspired puzzle racer game where players ride a music "track" to collect colored blocks along the way. The most exciting feature Audiosurf sports is the ability to add your own MP3s to the game and play the music's racetrack. It's all very exciting stuff and hopefully Microsoft doesn't force them to cut the custom MP3 feature. If that happens, a ginormous piece of Audiosurf's soul would be lost.

This is a good idea. Consoles is a better place for a game like this than Steam IMO.

Yeh audiosurf is awesome i have the pc version. You'd have to import alot of songs to your 360 coz when you own the game you just HAVE to try out every single song you own because they all play differently. And then theres the downloading wierd music to see what its like in game.

I am able to stream my mp3's (in playlists...) to my 360 over my network...If I didn't have to physically copy my mp3's over, but could use the streaming feature instead, I would be all about this game.

The 360 controller rocks on the PC version, and it has PC-style achievements.
PLEASE have the Steam and Xbox Live leaderboards merged. :D

Mouse control is the only real way to go with this game. And if they did cut custom mp3s the entire point of the game would be gone and it wouldn't be worth buying.

Actually, you're wrong. People who actually play the PC version of Steam say that the 360 controller is better (and features rumble, too.)
Furthermore, AudioSurf is a glorified 2 directional racing game, and would you use a MOUSE or a RACING WHEEL to play a racing game? Would you play something like Forza 2 with a mouse?
I don't know where you're getting the idea that the mouse > 360 controller for AudioSurf, but people who use the 360 controller with the PC version much prefer it. This is not an FPS - the analog stick is a better option for when you have only two directions and need precision.

Observation:
Audiosurf is available on Steam. Steam is made by Valve. Valve also made The Orange Box. The Orange Box consisted of the HL2 content, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Portal has this song called "Still Alive." "Still Alive" was made available on Rock Band. Rock Band was published by EA. EA also pulished The Orange Box, which is made by Valve who made Steam which has Audiosurf.
(Sorry for the confusing nature of the above post, but I wanted to start all the sentences with the words that ended to previous, for my own personal amusement.=P)
Anyway, where I'm getting at with this is that what do you all this of the possibility of Rock Band songs being compatible with Audiosurf, since all these devs seem buddy buddy with one another (at least in some fashion with one another). I think something like that could increase the sales, potentially.

I played the BETA of this game a while back and it is quite fun to play with your music. However the game does get quite boring after the novelty wears off. Not sure if I'll buy it.

The point is to beat the leaderboards around the world for a particular song.

I'm sure that's why it's going to be released on XBLA and cost $10 instead of being released in a retail box an cost $60 ;)

I'd totally buy it, as long as custom music was supported.

breaking news: Microsoft changes Audiosurf to a FPS!! They've hired Infinity Ward, EPIC, and Bungie to tackle the project. It will include guns you can buy, enemies you can chainsaw, and spartans! New tag line is now: "THIS IS AUDIOSURF!"

I love Audiosurf! I've got it on the PC so I wont be getting it on my 360...but its great to hear (har har) that it is coming to the XBLA. More people should play this game, as it is wonderful!
Hopefully they don't screw up what MP3's you can play though.

Yeah, it seems like this isn't happening. In the Audiosurf forums, the creater Dylan says "Must have been a miscommunication. I didn't say that."
