This is the one everyone has been waiting for. Ikaruga has finally landed on Xbox Live Arcade. We took the game for a test drive and put together our usual video tour. Is Ikaruga worth the wait? You bet your bottom it is. If you like the bullet hell shoot-em-up genre, you need to play Ikaruga. Watch the video and find out why.

It's goooood. I tried out the multiplayer too and it was pretty smooth for the most part. I little hiccup every now and then, but other wise, a total blast. It's brutally hardcore though. My friend and I got to level 2 together only once in a dozen tries. Ikaruga is not for babies.
This game is amazing and I suggest that if you get this game and really like it, you pick up Triggerheart and look forward to Radiant Silvergun, Dodonpachi, Ketsui and Raiden Fighters Aces.
X3F has the best game reviews bar none(except for Hillary on IGN360). I don't know if I'll get this game but your video reviews in the past month or so really kick ass. Nice work!!
BTW, I don't know if I can handle the intensity of this game. It might be too frustrating and I'm playing the 360 to relax and have fun. I have a feeling I'll get too frustrated with this game and want to throw my controller across the room. =D

This will be the FIRST arcade title I will ever purchase, but first I must ask, how long is it? Will it keep me fixated for hours?

If you were not an arcade dweller growing up I'd imagine you'll get months of playtime out of this do to the steep difficulty. It is an awesome game.

HOW you play can affect your score, though, when you get combos, so once you play through, you can try to improve your score.

Jonah Falcon's right, and this is the mark of any great arcade game, endless replayability since you can always edge that top score a little higher...

It's only five levels but it will take you a LONG time to get to that point... if ever.

I sold this game with my DC and my GC. Never made it through.
Guess that means it´s time for yet another try! :-)
Onto the frustration and bliss that is Ikaruga once again...
