[Update] Sorry, folks, this news appears to be fake, as it appears in EGM's April Issue. Apparently we were taken in by the most elaborate EGM Aprils's Fools day joke ever. Here, this is for us.
With the massive popularity of the Lego-branded games, it was only a matter of time until something blew the doors for open anyone to get in on the bricking action. With this EGM scan, it seems that the doors have indeed been blown. With Lego Master Chief and Elites, and the ability to follow the entire story from first game to third game, it seems like this one will have fanboy's all over wetting themselves in delight. Bungie's next game was promised to be "totally different" and this certainly qualifies as different, even if the guys at Bungie are mixing things up by making at least ten-percent of the game "traditional Halo" (first person). Just like in the other Lego games, there will be a multitude of playable characters, which will probably include Arby, Sarge, etc, as well as other Spartans (if you read Ghosts of Onyx, prepare to meet Kurt's brother!). This game honestly sounds like eighty different kinds of awesome, and you know that this is going to end up selling over a million copies. The only question is, where could they take it for a sequel?

It wasn't the April issue of EGM, was it?
They are known for their April Fool's jokes.

Is this actually a retail game. Because I would buy it, and I am sure many would. The only issue is how would MP work.

"were could they take it for a sequel?" The same place all Halo games sequels have been taken. Just a rehash of the original. Sure I love Halo as a game but the story? Pretty standard stuff.

This is the start of March, which means the current issue is the April issue. EGM is known for pulling this sort of stunt in the April issues. So between that, and the fact that, unless my memory fails me, Bungie flat-out stated that their next game wouldn't be Halo, my money is on this being EGM's latest attention grab^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H hoax.

Not to mention, the whole UI is from Traveler's Tales' Lego Star Wars games, and they're not on the development team?
If they would have placed TT as a developer, this would have had slightly more believability.

I just hope it's not real. I want to see Bungie do something that has nothing to do with Halo, or Lego for that matter.

if this ISNT their april fools joke this year.., you people have to realize its a lego game. everyone is saying MP this and that..., it prolly wont have one. having up to a 4 person mode or more on the screen via live co-op for the 3rd person lego make make more sense but having it switch in and out of 1st person according to the levels? the more that you think of this the more that you know.., this is a joke. has anyone received their april issue yet in the mail? I bet you if you look at every other article in there, theres not another one that could be the april fools joke. its sad too, because I was really happy for the two seconds before the X3F guys pointed out it was in the april issue. meh
