While chatting with the Eurogamer crew at GDC, Bungie's Brian Jarrard talked about what they're looking at to continue Halo 3's longevity including new features that'll allow players to search through user created content. Jarrard told Eurogamer that "the problem we're dealing with now is there's just too much content," and that "for a new person that just wants to find something fun that somebody else made, we don't feel very good about the way we've done that." Jarrard continues by saying that Bungie is "working on different ways to potentially grade and aggregate and sort content" and that they believe a search database to be important "to really get a foothold and contribute to Halo 3's lifespan."Does that pretty much confirm Bungie will be opening up the flood gates on user created Halo 3 content by allowing custom creations to be searchable, ratable and easily managed? Not exactly. But we're happy to see that Bungie sees value in user created content and how it can add years and years of life to Halo 3's online component. Here's to an easy to manage searchable index of user created Halo 3 creations. Three cheers!

Just release a classic map pack already, then we'll all come back to play.

Yeah bring me Hang 'Em High and Bblood Gulch with a classic playlist to go with it and I'll come back. 2 flag CTF on Blood Gulch and team slayer on Hang 'Em High. Also in this playlist there should be no push to talk.
I'll buy that for 800 points.

I think bungie should make it show forge Hub's featured maps ext to bungie favorites, and call it community favorites.

Custom game search, plz. And let us create and join custom games within some sort of custom game browser.
The problem with this created content stuff is I never get a chance to use it...my friends have no imagination...and they apparently sold off their copies of Halo 3. :o

Tagged films?
Search descriptions?
Search for medals achieved in saved films? (like say I wanted to see someone get a KILLAMANJARO, i'd just search for the medal and it'd show me all the videos with someone getting one in)

I agree with everyone, Bring back all the classic's. Also, the super jumps/bounce was an ingenious idea IMO. btw, for anyone thats interested in a forge lockout map add EmuNext as a gamertag and ask for a lockout forge, that guy did a pretty nice one (I believe he's the only one that succeeded in making one) anyways check out.
Heh, I would kill for a custom search. Matchmaking gets annoying after a while.

They need a custom games search.. though they'll never add it, because, along with making sense, it'll draw people away from their precious matchmaking.
Then, they just need to friggin' let you browse and search user created content on the damned game. Going through the website to do it is friggin' stupid, as the website is designed VERY, VERY POORLY, for one, and for two, having to use an external source is damned stupid.

Until they add a MatchMaking option to search for Custom games this is useless.

Maybe in a few years when Halo 3 online is on its deathbed (may take longer) they'll release a custom games browser to bring everyone back. That would be great...
