Just as they've done in the past, Microsoft will be "Bringing it Home" once again for those who check the XBLM during GDC. Specifically, the show will run from Feb 18 to Feb 22, but the Marketplace will begin to see content from it on the the 20th. Theoretically the content flow will stop after the show ends two days later, though there may be some final additions after the official end date. The only content that's an absolute at this point is the keynote address highlights from Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, John Schappert, which is entitled "A Future Wide Open: Unleashing the Creative Community." With all the rumors swirling and the dwindling of E3, we'll likely see see some juicy nuggets come out of GDC, and (with any luck) onto the Marketplace. The full announcement after the break.

Honestly, lets talk about the 1 thing right now that would totally blow us all out of the water to come out of it.........A surprise multi player slash campaign demo of GOW2, it'll never happen but it would be nice if the industry would reward us with things like that.

Wow, that press release really sounds like MS has some big stuff to announce. Hoping for a Too Human demo, Ninja Gaiden 2 demo and hopefully some nice exclusive game announcements.
A lot of people are watching this conference as an MS unveiling and I think a lot of peoples confidence in the platform for 08/09 is riding on this. I don't think they have to unveil everything planned(save some for TGS, etc) but they need to come out swinging.
MS has been the doorstop of the media lately with RRoD, losing/selling/releasing studio's, HD-DVD failure, etc.. MS is making it really easy to love the PS3 and hate the 360. They can quote software attachment rates and talk about their previous accomplishments all they want but it's not creating momentum and it's certainly not getting their fanbase excited.
It's tough to be a fanboy for the 360 when MS gives you no ammunition to use in the console war.
